Hypnos Artists - Oöphoi
Oöphoi is the Italian sound artist Gianluigi Gasparetti. He released his
Hypnos debut Athlit in 2002.
Gasparetti was perhaps first and best known for his role as the Editor of the
Italian magazine Deep Listenings (Ascolti Produndi), dedicated the
ambient and deep atmospheric music. But he soon earned a reputation in his
own right for his work as Oöphoi, including a couple of CDs from the excellent
Italian label Amplexus, and a batch of self-released CDRs.
The most common question related to Oöphoi.... how do you pronounce it? Well,
the American tongue will most simply equate it to "Ooo-Foy." Close enough.
