Trailer for the upcoming movie "Cafe Journal" - Soundtrack by Tomas Weiss, Mathias Grassow and Circulum Musicum

Cafe Journal is an upcoming independent romanian feature film written and directed by Ciprian Brasoveanu.

Synopsis: Tudor, a young guy who is photophobic and insomniac, receives an unexpected nocturnal visit which will lead him to a mysterious café that exists only during nighttime.

Great work Tomas.....had to listen without looking at the screen to get a sense of the music by itself because the actual music merges so well with the visuals and creates the mood while supporting the drama......The key elements to a good film score
     
Hope the movie makes it over the atlantic to us!

many thanks for your appreciation!

I do agree that the pictures and the music merges well - it was a very interesting experience for me too that finally (as a viewer) you won´t anymore separate pictures and music....imo it feels like "one" by complementing each other.

Good to see this music is making it to films.  Too much film music is overdone and overcomposed.  Ambient is perfect for films but not many directors use it for some reason.
