I love his sequencer driven/rhythmic/tribal music nearly just as much.

Seems that most of my calmer favorites were mentioned.
One piece I always return to is "The Eternal Expanse". I believe it is one of his finest, purely ambient/textural pieces.
The Passing is beautiful. And of course MC&SS, especially disc 2 & 3.

Max Corbacho is great in this area as well. I love Arte Magnetica and Splendid Labyrinths.

The Liebestod at the end of Tristan und Isolde is one of my very favorite pieces of music. So extraordinary and profound.
I can imagine it is even more powerful after listening to the entire opera. I just haven't got around to it yet. 4 hours (?) seems a bit much. Maybe, some day. :)

I think it is "just" one of many.

A beautiful and varied album, very refined ambient music. A wonderful collaboration and a nice blend of their individual styles/soundworlds, although I think I hear more Michael Stearns than Steve Roach so maybe Steve took more of a background role.

Psychonavigation 2 is my favorite of the bunch. Some very atmospheric pieces (Blue Shift is like being trapped in an alien vessel) and at the center probably one of the highlights of the entire FAX catalog: The Fate of Energy. Such a cool track.

Chillwave is the calm and subtle subgenre of 80s inspired Synthwave.

There's some amazing electronic music to be found within this genre that I think certain members will appreciate, especially those who posted in the "Downpipe" thread.  8)

Horowitz recorded this piano transcription by Franz Liszt a few days before his death.

Even if you're not into classical music, the finale of Gustav Mahler's 8th symphony is just something you have to hear before you die, at least 10 times.

Take a little time getting to know this fragment. When you "get it", it will hit you like a truck.
You don't even need to listen to the rest of the symphony (even though it's always better to listen to these fragments in their proper context; after getting to know the entire symphony).
