Very sad to hear about his passing. He wrote me an email once many years ago and said how much he enjoyed my work. Stunned really. We were the same age too. Many great ones are slipping away these days.

This is going to be a great show and the lineup is a great representation of what this genre's all about. When I heard about this event I was thinking I'd love to be one of the performers as I live not too far away from the Bay Area but perhaps next year.  I would love to participate and meet all these great artist's, fans and Forumite's.

All the best Stephen!

Just saw your post Forrest. Thank you very much for enjoying the music from the new one. All of those artist's you mentioned have had a major influence no doubt! Music For Films is definitely one of  my favorites. As far as Genesis goes only The Beatles have made a bigger impact on me. For example, if you listen to the quiet parts of Supper's Ready and tracks like Entangled you can really hear some of that on Falling Light. I hope you had a great Christmas Forrest and let's hope the New Year is a great one!

Hello Hypnos Forum family. I'm very happy to announce that my newest album Falling Light will be released on September 11th 2012 on the Lotuspike label! There are 11 tracks with a running time of approximately 1 hour. My wife Nicky did the photography with Jeff Kowal designing the package. Ben Cox did his usual amazing job of mastering. On August 1st I will add some audio samples and video clips here on this thread.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy the music,   ;D

I've been using Sony MDR 7506's for about 15 years. They sound great (very crisp with just the right amount of warmth) and they last forever  ;D

Thanks Julio, actually it has been so long since I last posted anything I forgot all my login info  :D  so I re-registered.  Yes, I really enjoy the Emotional Piano sounds. They are very warm and quite realistic too. There is also something called Piano In Blue by Cinesamples which is actually samples from the acoustic piano used on Miles' Kind Of Blue album as well as many other classic's. The sound is gorgeous. Here's the link: http://cinesamples.com/products/piano-in-blue/

Cheers,

I love the Omnisphere. Also one of the more obscure soft synths I like is Tonehammer's Emotional Piano, which sounds really nice.

I received a pretty nice amount from them earlier this year so it definitely pays to sign up and see what you have coming.
