Music Gearheads Tech Talk / anybody try Morphestra?
« on: October 24, 2009, 08:01:30 AM »
has anybody here bought Morphestra yet? Kind of pricey (but it does come installed on an external harddrive). From what I've read and the samples I've listened to, it seems great. I don't really have the money to drop on something like that though!

I ordered mine through Musician's Friend and if you put the promo code MINE in the box during the checkout process (not the first promo code box) you can get an additional $65 off.

Mine would have to be the Ensoniq EPS. It's somewhere around 20 years old at this point, all original parts. It's almost always been "garaged" though, I only used it in few live shows. I know the original owner never played live with it. I'm surprised the floppy drive still works, considering it's proprietary. Murphy's Law loves proprietary stuff.

Hello!

the new collaboration between Caul and Kirchenkampf, "Sleep-Night-Death," has been released on Malignant Records. From the Malignant Records catalog: "Two artists return to the Malignant roster, having teamed up to create over 60 minutes of dark ambient solitude. A soundscape for late night reflections, full of quiet, whispering drones, cosmic flutterings, arching climatic tones and textures that ascend and descend in a delicate interplay between beauty and bleak desolation. You know their work as separate entities, find out what they do when brought together. Limited to 888 copies with specialty eco-wallet packaging designed by ::: eye.lyft ::: (www.eyelyft.com). Sample at www.myspace.com/malignantrecords."
