Everything and Nothing / Glenn Frey

 :(

Another music hero and legend gone.

Lyin' Eyes
Peaceful Easy Feeling
Tequila Sunrise
Take it Easy

Utter class tunes.. Soundtrack to my youth , no doubt like millions of other folk.

What a terribly sad time this has been of late for many of my heroes, influences and music legends.

RIP Glenn

Everything and Nothing / Non Ambient Purchases 2015
« on: December 29, 2015, 02:34:08 PM »
I was thinking that this might be the year I have purchased the fewest non ambient albums ever, but maybe not.....

Riverside - Fear, Love and the Time Machine . May actually be release of the year, all genres, for me.

Todd Rundgren - Global , very good but mainly bought for the DVD of older classic Todd tunes.

Anderson/Ponty Band - very good but a murderous reggae version of an old Yes classic track thereon.

Mabel Greer's Toyshop - New Way Of Life . Chris Squire's first band. THE best bass player of all time. Made without him as he has departed earth :(

Ozric Tentacles - Technicians of the Sacred

Tangerine Dream - Quantum Key , great new Dream music with the lingering touch of Herr Froese.

Think that is about it.

Everything and Nothing / All the Best for 2015
« on: December 31, 2014, 09:19:49 AM »
Dear fellow ambient heads,

I am having a chilled out afternoon here listening to beautiful ambient music before going out on the town tonight for Hogmanay. First time we have been child free here as they are all now virtually adults and are dispersed throughout the country for the celebrations :).

Just wanted to wish all on here all the best for 2015. I think it has been a superb 2014 for our ambient genre and look forward to next year immensely. Also want to say cheers to all the members who post here as I have discovered several works of ambient magnificence on this forum  8)

All the best from Scotland, where a few drams will be partaken of this evening/early morning  ;) :o :P :)
