Hi there,

I just finished the tribute song for Jeff Kowal and I thought I would share it with everyone

It's the journey in life that we take, the people we meet, and the many roads we travel upon in life to fulfill our dreams and goals.

I hope you enjoy it:)

A great musician and influence on ambient music.
We will definitely miss him.  He's now playing awesome ambient music with Jim Brenholts....
Rest in peace dear friend...

I think that would be like this. I feel very good.

Thank you...I appreciate all that listen to it and enjoy it:)

A review of my album, Interstellar Love, over at

Listened to the BC stream during a quiet, relaxing Saturday afternoon ( for once ) . Enjoyed it , beautiful themes and very relaxing indeed.

Thank you.....One can now also buy it over on CD Baby:

I'm glad you enjoyed it...:)...
It's the kind of music that one can loose oneself in:)...

Interstellar Love is now available to order over at Bandcamp:

Hi there,

Hope everyone stops by now...
Winds of Hope listening going on right now at:

Just thought I would remind everyone that this upcoming Friday at 7:30pm CST, we will be having an internet listening party for Vance Sheaks', Winds of Hope full album to be played live over the internet and we will also be chatting with everyone, so stop on by and give his album a listen this Friday.

So join us over at:

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

I think for one, if we got rid of the loudness wars and use high res music files I think we could actually hear the dynamics of a song a musician intended for their listeners....
I personally use 96Khz/24 bit, esp. since I know I am going to have to dither down to CD quality, but I capture the nuisance of the guitar player and capture his expression on the guitar. For that matter, drums, sythtns, etc.
that way, the captured moment, expressions and emotions are not loss when converted down.

Another small teaser video for Vance Sheaks upcoming album:

We are also having a internet listening party of his full album on July 10 at 7:30pm CST over at:

come by and listen to the entire album and chat with both me and Vance Sheaks.

Hi there,

It's been 10 years since Vance's last album and he feels his album, 'Winds of Hope', will speak positively to many.
The songs are mixed and mostly mastered and will be available soon

Below is the link to see and hear a small trailer for his upcoming album:

very awesome....
can't wait to see the other videos:)...

Hi there Chad...
looking forward to your new album..
Really quick question...did you do the video yourself or did someone else make the video for you???
I love it and was just wondering what tools were used in making it...

Other Ambient (and related) Music / Re: Alio Die on BC
« on: February 17, 2015, 12:15:12 PM »
I don't know if this is the 'new reality' or not, but BC is unique (as far as I'm aware) in that it lets people stream releases in effect. I've heard that may change, even iTunes limits listening to a preview. Naturally this differs from a service like Spotify, but it seems to me to be the same thing in effect, it's just that listening is free on BC.

I understand the artist deciding to limit their tracks and I also understand that the listener wants to hear the full release (which is what I currently do with my material)

Bandcamp does limit the number of times you can stream something.  I was streaming a Mick Chillage album last week; this week I tried to listen again, but I got a pop-up telling me to open my wallet.  I clicked "no thanks"; now when I hit play, the same pop-up window appears, and I can't stream it anymore.

I found a way around that in a web browser. I don't know if I should openly just come out with how to get around that, but if the majority here thinks I should, then I will post the solution.....:)

<hint> your cookie history ;)
