I'd like to hear forum members opinions on what they might consider sexy ambient.  I've found certain artists might be better suited to kindle the flames of passion.   Any one have thoughts on this?

Not to be too blunt or direct, but I'd need to know if you mean sexy as in "romantic" sexy or as in "sex sexy." I think the two distinctions call for very different music. Some folks like the whole soft music, candles, whispered words sex and others like the hot, sweaty passion-at-all-costs sex. So, if you feel you can clarify that without getting too personal, or if you want an answer for both "styles," that'd help me offer an opinion.

Apologies if anyone is offended by my frankness. :o

Bill:
I dont think anyone wants to hear about the soft music and candles type.  I say, let's hear about the sweaty passionate at all costs sexy ambient? Where's that stuff?  ;)

Hmmm.  Well, the Pink Floyd considered best for the bedroom (Meddle) is also the most ambient Pink Floyd album.

As for me, I always say, Sexytime is Billy Idol time!

OK, more seriously now...

I remember at the first live performance by Viridian Sun, a girl in the audience came up to the stage afterward, when we  were  taking down our equipment, and said "I just wanted to tell you, your album is SOOO great to make love to."  Wow.

I guess I would say, without giving away too much of The Griffin Technique, that more dynamic albums with more variety and change, would be more suitable for this sort of thing, than the more minimal or drony stuff.  But everything can have its place!

You are suggesting that the perfect album will be one with growing instensity, building tension, release and ultimate satisfaction?
