If you like intensive stuff and always wanted to let your employees have it big time ;), I enthusiastically recommend Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef

Great mixes! Thanx

Oophoi is OK but at times overrated, with his musick lacking variety, IMO. Would definitely like to see him do some trail-blazing

...please let it be known when it becomes available here in the US...

Shucks!...How could I forget :
 - Holy Domain...a classic

re: Klaus Wiese comment above:  Grassow hasn't released much lately anyways, so I wouldn't say the quality has necessarily gone down...

Quality was probably the wrong word to use in my comment...a change of direction is better. That's in regard to his ethno-based, drone and indian flavored percussive works of the past versus his current collabs with T Weiss

Makoto Kawabata, although he's in and out with the drone thing

1. Expanding Horizons (although, it's probably more of Alio Die here)
2. Himavat
3. Mercurius
4. Lanzarote Concerts

PS: it seems that the quality of his work has suffered after the passing of K Wiese, IMO (...not a fan of his latest collabs...)

Electric Birds Strata Frames, a true classic from the glitch years

Thanks for catching my typos and reminding me about Plejades.  Those recordings with Jim Cole are really amazing.  Was that ever issued on a legit cd?  I've never found one.

Unfortunately, "Plejades" was never released on a CD...which is too bad. It's one of my favorites, always in rotation

I find Soleilmoon descriptives most puzzling and impenetrable...unless you know the artist's music, no way to know what to expect

Just received an email about an album I should listen to by a band/person I don't know:

"My work lies somewhere along an axis that includes Mahler, David Sylvian,
Scelsi, the Future Sound of London, Schubert, Nono, Gas, Scott Walker..."

That all sounds pretty clear  ???

I'd die to know what axis there is that covers both Gas and Schubert...all at the same time ;D

Ambient music is a very specialized art category with most fans well aware of what it is. When one owns over a thousand ambient CD's, any sort of an overstatement in a press release is an immediate disqualifier, as it shows a tendency to overcompensate. That includes verbage like "stunning", "classic", "revolutionary", "break-through", etc. I mean, if one is a fan of mellow drone, noise-drone from Merzbow or Sunn-o would probably "stun" him into hyperventilation...but then that wouldn't be that great of a feeling in the first place

correction:- it is Saam Schlamminger (the letter "n" has been omitted in the article)

also, 'Plejades" collaboration with Jim Cole, some of his best drone works

David Tagg Pentecost, nice drones, a bit on the dark side
Saito Koji Guitar, excellent!
Fabio Orsi Winterreise, excellent!

In spite of some previous new age-y pseudo-enlightment leanings, will probably buy...out of respect for his well-executed shamanic drum work

Sorry for your loss. Dogs have a very special kind of conscience. If I believed in reincarnation, I would've said that they definitely have some vestige of a human soul trapped inside...a soul free of human deficiencies and imperfections.

Aglaia        - Naked Movements
                 - Reverberant Skies
                 - White Maps
Awesome drones!
David Parsons - "Maitreya, the future buddha", not bad but too new age-y
