Everything and Nothing / Just bought myself my first Bitcoin
« on: January 06, 2017, 10:56:00 PM »
I did just buy myself my first bitcoin some days ago and I now have my own electrum wallet, it take some time to get a grip and get enough knowledge to to understand how it works.  But ones you understand the basics it is not more diffcult then paypal to be honest, instead of email address you send to a wallet address.  To buy bitcoins these days are kind of easy.  There is noob apps like circle pay which make it very easy.

It is easy as long as you do not want the money to be non-traceable which is the whole point of using bitcoin or why the big mass attract to it (besides those who prospect and earn money from it) if you want the money non traceable you can always launder the money to make the money non-tracable there is these 3 methods, I use the first mixing method.

I have not been reading enough about mining, how much computer power you really need to create money.  I think it has become to a point now that most of them miners are done with bigger computer halls, so I can imagine it hard to compete.

In general I would recommend using youtube to learn about bitcoin it easy really the easiest way to get into it, so many good guides.

The first step is to buy bitcoins, there is plenty sites you can buy with credit card these days, all are required by law to ask for your personal information and a copy that proves it such as you passport, that means you need to trust the site.  On some sites you can both by bitcoins all also have the wallet there.

But it most common you use a webwallet like
it is same here, it demands you give them a lot of trust guarding your money and your identity, have never become hacked.

Using a  lightweight Bitcoin clients that store the bitcoins locally and encrypted on your computeron your hardrive is the most safe way, then you guard the money, and you do not need to give your personal info to anyone, such as electrum and multibit.

The most secure way to store your money is using  Bitcoin Core, but it will generate a lot of internet traffic, it will download the whole blockchain which is about 80gb.

Then we have the best way, and it is hardware wallets like keepkey. I will consider to buy a hardware wallet actually.  Otherwise I really recommend electrum

Well the bottomline is I think cryptocurrency are a very interesting phenomen and is here to stay, I think, it have got a bad reputation, it is not only used for drug dealers it is used by a lot of traders too, also, it can be a way to invest the money and let it grow, bitcoin is only one of the cryptocurrencys around the globe, I really think they will be more and more important in future,  they are global, and no one really controlls them besides the market itself, I think more and more people find less and less confidence in todays normal currencys when will the next financial crisis come ? we all know it is only a matter of time.
cryptocurrency is a really good alternative to that, and what makes it good and healthy is that it is global and de-centralized, Personally if I would decide we all would go over to cryptocurrency, it is the future.

Sounds very close to steve roach which was my only influence of this track, using lexicon reverbs and using disharmonic pitchifting to create drones. Recorded in 2009.

Recorded 2008 using Lennartdigital - Sylenth1, it sounds very close to the dreamtime return feel of steve roach, which also was my only inspiration for doing this track. What is missing is a high quality reverb, it sounds little bit dry in general, I think I will do a remix of this with more longer reverb tails.

I thought it would be interesting to make a thread of the gear we are currently planning to buy and saving up to.

Music Gearheads Tech Talk / Elektron - analog-heat

Using this device is probably a cheap and good way to make your digital and software synt sounds analouge. it looks intersting, good for live shaping too. I might buy one. I think it will work especially good for ambient.

Another simple one from 2009. It is based on emotional pads totally soul-searching music which seem to stop time.

I wonder if I did use some kind of tape simulator on this one it sounds almost like a hiss sound it might sound better in some sound systems then other, I assume it sounded good in my old DT880 pro which I do not longer own, you get used to it as the time go in the song.
Another part I do not like is that the pad in the beginning should involve more slow in the  beginning it sounded little bit amaturish. Anyway I am satisfied with the overall emotional content and where the music takes in this soul-searching song I could easily have made this song longer.

This is dark ambient that probably would fit in some sci film which dealing with the downfall of the earth.
The sound is rather primitive sounding, it is more driven by pure emotion then high quality sound. A better reverb could probably have saved it.
(used Wavearts masterverb at the time)

I have no plans to release it elsewhere but now it is at least out in the open for download.

This recording was recorded in November 2008,  you can hear a few unwanted click sounds in  the recording it is because it was recorded 2 months before I got my core i7 computer,  this one was used the 2 core P4 which was very slow computer.

Have any tried the iSine10 or iSine20?
These are the worlds first planar magnetic IEMs, it is worth to note though they are maybe not for every one since the look kind of odd and to some I guess unsexy,  what is good about it them however is that the the price atleast for the iSine10 model is pretty much acceptable, especially considering it is magnetic planar.

For Apple users there is a DAC in cable you can buy with lighting cable,  how important it is with this dac compared to use dacs in other phones I do not know, historically speaking Planar magnetic headphones has required very expensive and high quality headphones amp(that is for instance the reason why the stax headphones get so much out of reach because you need just as good amp to go with it). For me as an android user the alternative for me would be FiiO K1 (same type of ultra portable one)

However what makes hope for me personally about these is the fact that they do not seem to be so far into the ear canal, this is good for me since it is very hard to find IEMs that fit my very small ear channels.  Also they create less audio pressure then normal IEMs which is also a good thing if you care about your long term health of the ears.

I still need to read more reviews about it, really how good it need to fit.
If I know they would fit my ears it could be worth to invest the money but you can never be sure if they fit.
But because of the contruction I think it will, it seem to rely more on the ear hooks to have stay in the ear then a perfect "sealed" fit.

What adblocker do you use ?

I can tell you in my slimjet browser I use it has a built in adblock plus adblocker, I did recently switch to uBlock orgin adblocker and wow I would not make this thread if it wasnt for the fact that I am deeply impressed with how much the pages loud now.. very dramatic difference.

This benchmark test comparing the most popular ad blockers cofirm that ublock orgin is the best right now.
I use it in combination with Ghostery also, they both complete each other I think.

If you use android phone I really recommend (require no root)

This was recorded in 2009. I would say it is more focused on good sound then maybe the most artistic music (gets more mesmerizing towards the end though). It can appeal to steve roach and opphoi fans, especially the ending part I would say is very oophoi-like.

From what I recall I used ariesverb as reverb. What I have learned since 2008 it is that I do not need the ambient to be that melody based, If I would had done it today it would be more atonal just lite the ending part. Looking forward to record more 2017 starting to feel inspired and ready now again. Just sharing my old stuff first.

December is a really good time for Steve Roach music for some reason..  anyway 3 new albums will be released soon to welcome 2017, I hope that means some will be released in December otherwise January. No more information has been given.. stay tuned for more information.

This is one of my very first ambient  recording attempts in 2009, the first synth I was using was NI Massive,  I want to return to it again next time I start recording music

I think this recording is from 2008 or 2009, never shared it before so I do now

Have any one tried the FiiO K1 ?

I am thinking about investing in one since the sound quality in my huawei mate 8 left a lot to be desired

It is ultra portable and affordable as well
if you have it what do you think about it ?
is there any other better alternatives I am open to try that too

Ever since Iphone 7 and their external dac and headphone amp there is more similiar but more powerful products around
I know HRT have one similiar to but what I know the k1 is better

Adrift on slack tide
Trending out into the vestiges
of fading light

Quietly slipping past the buoys
Ever farther from shore's embrace
