Hi 9dragons, speaking about steveroach.com releases, you should check out also Brian Parnham's "Mantle" CD, full of beautiful darkness too just like "Asunder". About Nathan Youngblood, his collaboration with John Vorus is under way. And when mentioning John Vorus, give a try to his "Transmuting Currents" CD, stunning debut, both sonically and visually.

One more addition to my "Best of 2010" list:

Alison Wait "Dove Esistono Solo I Ricordi" CD

A really beautiful work, both musically and visually, by Italian duo, Filippo Spadoni and Alessandro Tusino, co-released by Radiotarab Records and Eibon Records in June, 2010. Highly recommended for all those who are enjoying the intimacy and warmness of Hypnos latest CD "Out And About" by Herion.

Very good for removing glue remains of stickers on jewel cases is also gray duct tape. Just apply it with more pressure for several times on the same place where is the glue until all glue residues will be sticked to the tape and jewel case will be clean. But of course I use it only on jewel cases, I don't use it on digipaks as it might remove part of the artwork/print.

My words about latest 4 Alio Die releases too!!! Masterfully beautiful sonic and visual journeys by Alio Die (and by Zeit, Mathias Grassow & Mariolina Zitta too), all released at one day, so it was really difficult to absorb all that graceful and tranquil music when it arrived into my mailbox some weeks ago. Stefano and his fellow musicians keep on impressing. Difficult to pick up my fave, but maybe I would go for "Il Giardino Ermeneutico" with Zeit, just like Wanterkeelt said. I even did a little review of it few weeks ago, so feel free to read it on my profile page on Discogs. Keep on enjoying this music... :)

Hi Wanterkeelt,

I am living in Central Europe (Slovakia), mine Box Set arrived 10 days ago, that's not far from the place where you live. Actually, how big was your order? I am just asking, because bigger orders (over 500 grams) can be now shipped from/to US only by cargo flights and not by commercial flights like before. These safety restrictions by US government are valid since the beginning of December, don't know for how long... But don't worry, even smaller mailings have many delays, sometime it takes ages... I just received yesterday little parcel (under 500 grams) shipped from Raleigh, North Carolina with shipping date December 21st, so exactly one month on the way. This was shipped by USPS, just the same way Steve uses for his orders. As far I remember the first Box Sets were shipped by Steve around January 5th... Anyway, I hope you will enjoy your Box Set very soon... :)

Hi 9dragons, if I can recommend to you something then I would go for Steve Roach & Mark Seelig "Nightbloom" CD. It's absolutely exciting tribal ambient with vocal overtoning magics. For me, a real masterwork and one of the best 2010 releases in this genre.

Nice work, Mike!!! I need to get accustomed to it... :o, but I am enjoying it. All the best.. :)

Hi Darren, I think the run of this Box Set is very small, so I don't think it will get to some overseas distros, except individual CDrs. Please check out this with Dennis of Databloem.

And what about leaving this one on the floor... ;D

By the way, Einleitungszeit is noise industrial project from Slovakia, this is special "handmade" edition from 1999. Trust me, I know what I am talking about and also I still remember blisters on my hands when helping these guys to cut the metal plates for these boxes...

Other Ambient (and related) Music / Re: Top 10 Ambient/Space Music albums
« on: January 13, 2011, 03:04:11 PM »
Difficult to sellect only 10 albums... :(, but let's try:

Robert Rich  "Trances/Drones"  2CD  (my first ever ambient album that opened the gates...)
Michael Stearns  "The Lost World"  CD  (firstly catched by its stunning artwork, I really like the concept behind this album...)
Suspended Memories  "Earth Island"  CD  (Ambient Supergroup, with pearls like "First Blessing" or "Curandera"...)
Steve Roach "Origins"  CD  (with "Connected Underground" as one of my all time fave magics of Steve, Jorge & Linda...)
Vidna Obmana  "The River Of Appearance"  CD  (one of the most beautiful and tranquil albums of all time...)
Robert Rich/Alio Die  "Fissures"  CD  (two masters at their best, hauntingly nostalgic journey...)
Steve Roach/Jorge Reyes  "Vine ~ Bark & Spore"  CD  (with "Gone From Here" Jorge remains in my heart...)
David Parsons  "Ngaio Gamelan"  CD  (album loaded with Middle/Far East exotic...)
TUU  "Invocation: Archive"  CD  (filigree flute work and crystalline sound...)
Temps Perdu?  "Terra Incognita"  CD  (nice tribal/desert ambience from non-desert country, I was immediately hooked by "Desert Horizon"...)

Happy exploring, SpaceNovaRN71!!! ... :)

No, seriously jimzzzak, if you get your files directly from the artist, I agree with your download only choice, no problem at all. Like I already mentioned I respect the choice of all those who do it this way or download from official sites. But when it goes through unofficial sites, of course I can't agree with that. However, my preference will be always a physical CD.

Few more...

Things you cannot do with music files:

3, Running excited to the post office to pick up your order
4, To have personalized signature of your fave artist on the artwork
5, Smell of the brand new digipak... :)

The new Box Set of Steve Roach (plus Brian Parnham) is a good example, I think few guys on this forum will agree with me... ;)

Other Ambient (and related) Music / Re: Amongst Myselves - Fragments
« on: January 12, 2011, 02:04:42 AM »
Hi, I am a bit surprised this topic remains without any reactions. Due to some postal troubles, it took me longer time before I was able to fully explore soundworlds of this Australian, but now I can only strongly recommend the music of Amongst Myselves to everyone on this forum. I think Steve Roberts is one of the most underrated and underrecognized artists in this genre, as far I remember we have been saying just the same some months ago about his countryman Andrew Lahiff. Australia seems to be really far away from us... :(  Anyway, check out Steve's music, it's worth of your investigation!!! 2 of his 5 albums come even with additional DVD featuring some stunning visuals. Please note, I am not doing this as a kind of promotion for Steve, even if we are in contact, I am just trying to spread the word about some talented, but still quite unknown musician and I think Amongst Myselves is one of them. I hope you will enjoy this music as much I do... :)

Yes, nice choice with "The Fragrance Of Eternal Roses" and "Music Infinity Meets Virtues - Live In Prague 23rd May" CD, I am sure you will be satisfied.
