Very nice and well-matched. I particularly liked your panning around 3:30-4:00.

Hey, thanks for the response and your nice words about it  :)

BTW: Just watching your "Soundscape for.." video. This is a great performance...what is that "Ping" sound ? It might sound funny but IMO it holds all together.

Cheers,
Tomas

Sorry Tomas - I missed your question earlier. The "Ping" sound is from a Korg Kaossilator set to a piano sound
which was then processed through a little distortion and phasing in an Alesis BitrMan and then a bit of reverb.
(You can see the Kaossilator later in the video when I've picked it up to play a few MiniMoogish lines.)
I was trying to evoke the feel of the "Ping" at the beginning of "Echoes" by Pink Floyd to tip my hat to Rick,
who had just passed away that week. Thanks for watching/listening and commenting.   :)

Hi Scott,

thanks for the info !

As i said i like this "sound" and the rare use of it very much - it evokes a great but subtle feel and itīs like an "omen".

Cheers,
Tomas

Well I remember music quite well - not titles or artists but the music itself - so I was quite sure I knew that piece (and that's why I'm also quite sure I don't know the second one :( ). All I had to do was find the artist/title.
I had a short clue I had also heard that track in a mix CD. Given your time parameter (<=2004) and actually having some idea, I checked Nick Warren's 'Global Underground' mix CD series and here it was - track 3 on Nick Warren - Global Underground #024: Reykjavik, CD1.

Oh i didnīt know it was on a GU compilation...though i have not the complete series....

I also remember music quite well just by "sound" (not in this case...hahahaha) or by cover-layouts

PS: Is there any option to download your DJ-set? I'd enjoy to hear more of it...

Not planed yet...maybe later on  ;)

Cheers,
Tomas

PS for all the other members: Still searching for the second track

Iīve played a DJ-Set some years ago in a radio station - unfortunately i donīt have a playlist.

Iīm trying to find out 2 tracks iīve played there but my Vinyl collection is too huge to narrow down these tracks.....as you will hear on some positions (clicks/scratches) the format is Vinyl and i donīt know if its released as CD too.

Maybe someone can help ? Here is the MP3:
