Hey, thanks for the response and your nice words about it
BTW: Just watching your "Soundscape for.." video. This is a great performance...what is that "Ping" sound ? It might sound funny but IMO it holds all together.
Sorry Tomas - I missed your question earlier. The "Ping" sound is from a Korg Kaossilator set to a piano sound
which was then processed through a little distortion and phasing in an Alesis BitrMan and then a bit of reverb.
(You can see the Kaossilator later in the video when I've picked it up to play a few MiniMoogish lines.)
I was trying to evoke the feel of the "Ping" at the beginning of "Echoes" by Pink Floyd to tip my hat to Rick,
who had just passed away that week. Thanks for watching/listening and commenting.
Well I remember music quite well - not titles or artists but the music itself - so I was quite sure I knew that piece (and that's why I'm also quite sure I don't know the second one ). All I had to do was find the artist/title.
I had a short clue I had also heard that track in a mix CD. Given your time parameter (<=2004) and actually having some idea, I checked Nick Warren's 'Global Underground' mix CD series and here it was - track 3 on Nick Warren - Global Underground #024: Reykjavik, CD1.
PS: Is there any option to download your DJ-set? I'd enjoy to hear more of it...
and yet i counted over 25 mathais and mathais/collaborators on itunes h
itunes in the future?
sorry, fishing for a better exchange rate total h
Possible these two titles may get to cdbaby if they do not sell out? h
