I definitely prefer watching more and more movies at home due to the rising costs of tickets, drinks, rude people, etc..
but I also think besides the large screen HDTV one needs to have a great surround sound system to mimic the theater so one can truly enjoy the theater experience at home, esp. on Blu-ray:)

Plus..I love the fact, need to pause to go have a bathroom break:)

It is sad when a great fellow ambient musician among us departs this reality and leaves us with great music to remember him by..
I know when we lost Jim, I was torn up by his loss for a few days since we collabrated on albums together as, Orion's Belt.
But always know and feel that his music will always be with us...

Long time no see....Welcome back Jeff...

Way to go Mike....
that was a great story......hope to see many more stories from you in the future:)...

BTW..I have to ask, how do you juggle music and writing at the same time???
for me to concentrate on my writing, I had to put my music on the back burner for now ....
you sir, are an awesome man...

yes, definitely I think we have hit the technology wall to where we are so overwhelmed that we get stress in our lives just trying to keep up with it all:)

I am excited to announce my book, Alien Tears can now be purchased at:

Look for the announcement about the physical edition soon....

Author James Ellroy (LA Confidential, Black Dahlia, etc.) decided he was fed up with Facebook and wrote this classic "goodbye" to FB.

Dear FB Friends,
Fuck Facebook!!!!! -- It has proven to be worthless as a book-selling device, and is nothing but a repository for perverts, reparation-seekers, old buddies looking for handouts, syphillitic ex-girlfriends looking for extra-curricular schlong and hack writers begging for blurbs. For those looking for the REAL Ellroy shit, go to my wigged-out website:
Sayonara, Motherfuckers!!!

Further proof that writers are self-satisfied, cheap, self-involved, blinkered and deluded chronic masturbators.

LOL...I resent that:)....I am upcoming writer working on part 2 of my novel, Alien Tears...Alien Tears part 1 will be out this month...
but I am not cheap, self-involved, etc:) heheheheh
I still compose music from time to time, like to blow aliens up on Crysis 2 on my Xbox...

Art and Literature, Movies and TV / Re: Battle: Los Angeles
« on: March 16, 2011, 11:19:04 AM » I was totally go to say something along those lines.....just because it has gore, blood, things going bump in the dark and suspense but yet has aliens, etc doesn't mean it's not sci-fi:)

Well....I just braved this movie and yet again, I am disappointed in a movie called Sci-Fi....the whole feel of the movie felt like saving private ryan with nothing but action, action, guns, and a little bit of aliens thrown in the mix to call it a sci-fi movie...
yet again, just like skyline, they did not really explain why they were here, yes, maybe they did, but through newscasts, about using our water resources and to conquer us..blah blah blah.....
I can not believe the drivel that hollywood keeps pumping out of so called sci-fi movies...esp enough with the shake camera moves....gets old and drives me nuts....:)

Hi there Jimzzzak,

I was just curious to see if you had a chance to order and listen to Orion's Belt's last album that we did together right before he passed away, The Mysteries of Time..???
