I'm very late to the party here, as I've only just joined the forums. But the Hydrogen Audio forums have many discussions on this subject:

The download's been sitting in my to-listen folder for a while now. Your review has me almost drooling! Really looking forward to hearing this.

Thanks, welcome to the forum!  Your reviews are excellent, I look forward to reading more.  :)

Thank you kindly! I'm very much enjoying yours too :)

In an email exchange earlier today with jkn, I discovered that the Beta Cloud album on rM is a charity-only release. It's available to download from CD Baby for $5 USD: . I bought it around an hour ago, though I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.

Everything and Nothing / Re: "Album only" tracks on iTunes
« on: June 06, 2012, 02:49:39 AM »
Does it bug you when you have to buy the whole album on iTunes just because a track you want is more than 10 minutes long?  I think iTunes should do away with this practice as it's going to not generate as much revenue.  Think about it:  you don't like every song except the 11:00 one.  So you don't buy the album.  But if they'd let you purchase that song for 99 cents, that's 99 more cents in somebody's pocket.

I don't buy music from iTunes, but for info, it's exactly the same on eMusic which is where I buy almost all of my downloads. It was the same on Napster here in the UK before they were bought by Rhapsody and stopped allowing downloads. I agree - it's daft.

Thank you, Phobos. I'll be sure to check out your music!

Ah, this looks interesting, thanks!

Juta and Baxter, a sincere welcome to both of you!

Many thanks, Mike!

Hello, and thank you :) *waves to Wales*

You both know me from elsewhere.  :-)

Glad to see you posting here also.

Indeed we do! I only discovered this forum today. Now I have two nice communities to hang out in :)

Hi, everyone - I'm Baxter, from Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm married, and live with my wife and two cats in an old bungalow on the south side of the city. My main interests are music, films, writing, reading and social media.

I've been interested in ambient music and electronica for many years. I've only recently discovered the fantastic community that's involved in making and appreciating such music. Last week I launched a new music review site called EarTickles. Response so far has been great, with lots of very positive feedback.

I've also just joined the Netlabelism team as a reviewer, and my first contribution should be posted there shortly.

I hope to discover much more great music via the Forum.
