@ Ekstasis,
If you haven't checked him out already, I can recommend Stephen Parsick/['ramp], similar and probably slightly darker. Stephen and Mark did an album together called Steel and Steam, highly recommended also. Stephen may have some copies left.  :)

All the studio albums apart from Downtime are Mark Shreeve alone, have to agree the new album is amazing. Sequencing as it should be  ;)

Pete,I think they allow the albums to be streamed in full for a limited amount of time now.

I agree with Ekstasis here, track three I thought is by far the best track of the four tracks on the album.  I haven't bought much of Steves' stuff over the past years, as his releases over that time, have to me, been disappointing, and this is no disrespect to Steve, they just haven't "grabbed me" like before. Having said that you can't blame him for trying something different, I  hope it works out for him :)

Music Gearheads Tech Talk / Re: Recording music without a computer
« on: July 01, 2015, 04:37:17 AM »
Here are a couple of items as an alternative. I quite like the idea of the Zoom, as it can be used alone or with a computer, so kind of gives you the option of linking with the computer if you really need to. The Tascam also looks an impressive beast, and these are just a small selection of what is out there.

Personally I don't think I would leave a computer and DAW behind, I would just incorporate more hardware instruments into my set up.

Julio, do you think that maybe its the DAW you are using that isn't quite right for you?
