Still been purchasing loads of FAX, just about there now ;)

Otras2, Fanger & Siebert, Modula Green, A New Conciousness 2. All superb.

However here is an important mention for an absolutely stunning new ambient release;

Bridge to Imla - The Radiant Sea on the Winter-Light label. Michael Brueckner and Hans-Dieter Schmidt have created something really special here. Deep oceanic ambience with hints of melody and mystery. Atmospheric in the extreme. A top release of 2017. Do yourself a favour and acquire this wonderful album;

PS I also downloaded the Seetyca - Winterlicht album, deep dark winter atmospheres. Also excellent.

Interesting, sounds right up my street, especially as the "nichts are fair drawin' in" here, as we say in this part of the world.

I like winter (as long as its not too long and extreme) and I like my dark ambient in winter , so all is good. Look forward to checking this out later today.

Blake Gibson & Robert Davies - Quiraing
Beautiful atmospheric drone ambient. Highly evocative of the beautiful landscapes that inspired the music. One of the most stunning album covers of all time. Exactly the atmospheres evoked by the Quiraing on Skye.

Next -

Northaunt - Nightpaths Impressive and wonderful dark ambient, yet again, from Northaunt.

I have mainly been on a FAX buying frenzy recently , Otras , Redeye, A Day in the Park, Namlook solo albums and several Move D/ Namlook collabs. FAX overload of new music and it is so good.

However here ye go .......

Deep, dark ambient beauty from the depths of the Norwegian Forests ----

A stunning piece of work.

New album from Northaunt. On bandcamp https://northaunt.bandcamp.com/album/night-paths

Move D / Namlook - The Audiolounge .......... and Wired.

I suppose fairly beat orientated, but massive ambient leanings with a bit of a jazz vibe thrown in. Love it.

Watched that horrendous storm unfold on CNN last night. The reporter lad that was in Naples , Florida , deserves a medal for his reporting. Unreal stuff.

I think Julio stays near the coast in Florida, recall his beautiful, coastal, photograph album cover. Hope all is ok with him and his family/home/studio.

For me it would be wife/bairns/dugs/cats/Fender/FAX/etc into the motor and head North. Would be gutted about the rest of my gear though.

Juta Takahashi - Albion , music inspired by the landscape of the UK. The album cover is befitting of the music, absolutely beautiful ambient of the highest quality. That photo has to be my homeland I suspect. North West Highlands or Skye possibly, stunning. Had to get the iTunes download as not on bandcamp unfortunately. Available on CD baby though.

Also.......from cryochamber......

Randall Collier - Ford ..... Remnants . A dark ambient beauty from the depths of a subterranean city at night I suspect  ;). Reminiscent of Lightwave - Nachtmusic which is high praise.

Both albums highly recommended.

Quaeschning and Schnauss- Synthwaves . The Tangerine Dream men. Very good indeed. Not strictly ambient obviously but with a blend of Berlin School and more modern electronica. Recommend checking it out. Bit of a grower also

Oldfield - Return to Ommadawn - nice stuff.
Tull - Thick as a Brick . Steve Wilson remix .

1.99? Great find!

Couldn't believe my luck, perfect condition too. Have actually found a few Budd , Eno and some ambient collections in the same shop over the years, although it's mainly Rock and vinyl orientated. Never thought I would come across Mr Namlook's class music though . Will be checking more often now   :)

Dreamfish. Namlook/ Morris

Had the download for years and it sufficed whilst I acquired other FAX on CD. So in my local, favourite record shop my eyes popped right out my head, literally, when I saw the reissue on sale for 1.99. All these years , in fact decades, I have been purchasing from said shop and I have never seen any Namlook. Made my week that did  :D
