Alva Noto - Xerrox Vol. 2 Excellent, though I don't imagine a 3rd Installment can take the idea any further.

I could listen to the 5th installment without getting bored even one bit.

Joseph, that Byetone is great MaschineFunk – more fleshy and visceral than the older-style Raster robot music. But I think, given your robot-wariness, you may find the most appealing R-N album to be Automne Fold by Kangding Ray, which smuggles in more melody and textural variation, while still being recognisably a Raster man's vibrations.

Saw him live 3 weeks ago at a festival were i also played. Great Tunes Live.

Joseph, I'd agree with Fern's rec for Rhizome on Ben F-S's Gears of Sand label. You can find a short review and a sound sample as part of a GoS label profile I did last year here: I'd also cheer for Substrate on Mystery Sea. I prefer both of those to Suisei (and/OAR). Entropy, I have to admit, I can't remember too well, as it was released quite a while back.
I would go for Suisei as my favorite and i dont even know why. Ok, i am a sucker for Water and the Sound of it.
But there is no Album that gets me so sleepy like Suisei. After listening to it my whole body always feels incredibly
heavy and i fell into sleep a few seconds after i shutdown my IPod. Strange.

But you also cant go wrong with Substrate or Rhizome. Entropy is quiet nice, but not as good as the other mentioned
three. "Punkt" is also quiet nice. and the 3" on Taalem is also very enjoyable.

Genesis - Watcher of the Sky
god, i hate Collins Voice .... he is destroying everything that Genesis ever stand for with Peter Gabriel

Currently listening:

Lawrence English—A Colour for Autumn
Really nice record of gentle ambience.  I like the newer direction of 12K, though some of the releases in this vein are a little too similar.  I also like that the album lengths are shorter—forty minutes seems just right to me.

I found that one extremely disappointing. Only one really good track (the opener). the rest is mediocre.
But his "Kiri No Oto" stills blows me away. That is the kind of sound aesthetic i really like. could listen to
"Soft Fuse" for hours and hours.

Yui Onodera - Substrate
one of my favorite artists around at the moment .... there is something about his sound that hits my
nerve ....

William Basinski92982

Here comes Billy B. again. With the loops and disintegrations. Even if it is some old bits of tape dredged up from his basement from 1982 or thereabouts and minimally fiddled with, am enjoying this one (

Oh man. Just got this in a day ago or something like that.
The first track is so incredibly beautiful that it almost got
me to tears. I dont know how, but Basinski always seems
to move me with those few simple melodies. wonderful
release and worth the wait. though i still prefer his
El Camino Real. Can listen to this for hours on repeat.

Am i'm the only Person that is still into Vinyl? Most of my Music Collection exists only on Vinyl.
Probably 80% of every Music i own. There is nothing better then getting a Mailer with a new
Vinyl in it. Unpack it. Open it slightly. Get the Vinyl out and put it on the Turntable. Enjoying
the Music while looking at the Sleeve in its big Entity.

A few Days i received my "Jimi Hendrix Experience" 8xLP Box and i felt like a little Child (and i
am not even that old, 22).

Technology wont safe me from that Feeling. Fortunately. :)

Sorry to say that, but Immersion is full of shit. His whole arguing is so incredibly naive and stupid
that it almost hurts. But in the end its bullshit to even argue with him. I stopped arguing on the
internet, since the last time it was a monkey who was in front of the other pc.

Just one last question. Did Immersion ever released his own Cd? If not, then he is certainly
disqualified to discuss this thing here. Plain and simple.

there are still copies of 'Aversions' for sale - please buy one!
so desperate? whats up with that? ;)

Various Artists - Pop Ambient 2009 | Vinyl
wow, Vinyl and CD for 10€ in one package .... thats a fucking good deal ....
there is some wonderful music going on here, though tim heckers track is
perhaps the weakest which is a shame

Yeah. I got the Spot for the Endpilot Festival. So excited about beeing part of the Line Up.
More Infos about that in the next Weeks.

You can now stream some of the Songs from my new Album "A Shiver in Red" on
Hope you enjoy them.  :)

Yes, the Master for the Vinyl Record was sent to the Label yesterday. So its up to the Pressing Plant and how fast they are.
Cant wait to have this Baby in my own Hands. There is so much passion and energy that was put into this Record and i cant
wait to hear if other people enjoy that one as much as i did while working on it.

There is also a big chance, that i will be playing at the Endpilot Festival among Bands like LOGH, KANGDING RAY, SCRAPS OF TAPE
or CELESTINE. I hope that i will have my new Visuals for that Evening, that will be done by a Guy called Erik Mijwaard better known
as Videotroopers. I hope to get the official "YES" from the Promoter by the end of this Week. Would be a big Step forward and also
a great chance to play parts of the new Album Live with stunning Visuals behind me. :)
