I would say PS3 since if you have Amazon Prime you can watch (free and rent) movies, tv shows, etc...

I finally watched the last 3 eps of season 2 I had dvr'd. 2nd last one surprised me about the situation that I didn't pick up on from season 1 while they were at the CDC. Now have to wait till the fall....

Why not in middle of battle? You have different mobs showing up that you want to use other skill combos for vs current mobs? But I have to look into the skills and associated sub-skill/rune stuff I guess to get a better grip on doing more damage while taking less damage on my monk. Still can get quite busy lol. haven't played since early last week, maybe tuesday I go back into it.

Well the Monk class is interesting with his aoe skill(s) and getting the npc char in the skeleton king dungeon was good to have because he is tough (for the lvl you are at). Skill switching is something I haven't really done much of because I don't know if it is hotkey-able or not (switch on the fly vs bringing up menu and selecting in middle of battle seems to be a bit dangerous depending the scenario). I guess I'll need to go read up some more on this since the manual is a joke in that respect.

A bit underwhelmed that they are using the same basic interface for movement (no free-form camera like other games). Vomiting zombies lol, fat ones drop worms or whatever when they die so gotta keep distance.

I am playing a wizard atm to see how well she does. Died in dungeon due to 3 fat ones + zombies + bats on my ass....it's ok but a) don't like that it has to be online to play single player (i.e. internet connection) but understand why (to a point) and b) disappointed they kept the same style interface, i.e. didn't make it more modern with free-form camera movement to see around yourself, unless I am missing something. Same as D/D2 and after 12 years you would think they'd update the interface at the very least....but it is dark, brooding and still like the music.

Played for about an hour so far.

Well I tried a Charr briefly as well as a Norn and Human. It was interesting, being able to swim and jump. I guess depending how much you worked on leveling very early in this beta depends how you survived some of the tough enemies to solo. I got killed so much I was fighting in my underwear (game char lol) due to armor being decimated from the enemies pummeling me (the burning orphanage) but I did finish it off solo. I didn't team with anyone, think one person rezzed me/healed me out in the grasslands.  Multiple storylines depending on what character you played, etc... Interesting that we get pistols and rifles in it now too. It seemed to be missing a lot of stuff still as I thought this was kind of a limited beta in that respect, not all races could be played for instance. I didn't look into any of the crafting stuff because it appears I'll have to be doing a fair bit of reading to determine which ones to work on depending on the class I play.

Was a bit ticked as I was unable to get into Diablo 3 this past weekend....but not too surprising.

So who has pre-ordered this one? An oldie but goodie from Blizzard. I did and am going to see if I can get into the beta which I believe is happening this weekend. GW2 I heard was next weekend for another beta.

So is anyone pre-ordering and going to get to go into game 3 days ahead of non pre-orders? I did yesterday and am on fence if I want to blow $150 on the collectors edition for the art prints, figurine, etc....

Heard this thing looks amazing and that they have double the number of servers compared to the original. Also, original took 2Gb disk space, new one will require 25Gb of disk space!

Everything and Nothing / Re: Should I dump my website?

I turned off an option and it didn't display any different so I am stumped for the time being. There is a new version out (up to 1.01 now) that I am debating on updating to which would be a complete re-install from scratch. I will ponder that later. If anyone runs e107 please feel free to shoot me a private message with suggestions.

See if you can get into the site now. I changed a setting in preferences.

[edit] Hmm, I have Restrict Website to members only turned off (was before I made change but that didn't make a difference. I may have to go read the docs to see what setting turns off the registration stuff.  I am not sure where it is under e107 to make the site more open other than the stuff I have set to Off which should allow some viewing of the site. Will try to check into it later as time permits.

It will auto-renew but I need to update my credit card info before that so it is up to date. I have to see how my site is set up sans logging in to see what I can see. I like to keep it semi-secure after that damn virus last year....I had to reload the site with newest version of e107 (well not absolute latest, 1 rev behind = fine w/me) due to re-uploading site and damn thing was hacking it again. Was a fiasco and had to go through Google to check it out eventually to check for trojans and such.

I will probably keep it. Renewal of my site at the hosting service isn't till later this year (up to $10x annually but tons of space/bandwidth hence considering dumping things). I will have to look into domain pointing but would have to re-register elsewhere as host is doing that for me atm.

I have had no new members sign up in ages, I had a virus that hosed me for awhile last year and frankly not that busy on the music side. I figured I can just use my reverbnation and bandcamp pages to put any info out (and eventually dump myspace still to come...).

What do you think? Domain is coming due in <60 days.

Audio issue resolved and new PSU does work! So system up and running. I replaced the mobo via RMA and inspected the CPU socket and it was fine. All 4 mem slots work and know they are good as I did run memtest86+ for 11+ passes each stick. Also ran prime95 64 bit for ~6 hrs and temps peaked at 82c on one core only, rest high 70's which is about what I expected. I had to redo paste a tad and all temps dropped from 5x to 3x and been there since.

The audio issue turned out to be I have to plug my speakers into the GREEN plug (rear Front speakers) not the black rear Rear speakers. That's if you want to run 5.1/7.1 setup or reconfigure to use that port. So it sounds awesome on the monitors and louder than older board was.

Happy with it overall. Next year I may rebuild other DAW box or possibly consolidate to one but doing that doesn't allow me to multitask as much (putter on DAW while waiting on something to fini in game on other box and switch via USB KVM).

I heard there was a fair amount of issues with the game still that you have to find/use some mods to make it more playable? This may be due to the persons computer but that's what I heard. I been holding off buying it cuzz I never finished the prior one and already play enough on Perfect World International online (and need to fini one vanquish quest in GW to get 2 more titles then try and grind the cartographer quests out (95+ % on all 3 maps...)).

I just rebuilt my box w/i5 2500K CPU, 16Gb corsair vengeance, still same HDD's, new Corsair HX650 PSU and stock cooler (kept zalman off to side for time being as I don't plan on oc'ing and it runs low 30c at idle). Video still XFX GTS-250 1GB PCI-e card I bought last year or year before. No plans on blowing $400+ on new graphics card for awhile.
