"Slow Flow" sounds like a future Steve Roach album.  Guess they beat him to the name!

The sound samples are excellent. I will definitely be buying this album.  :)

Yagya-Rigning.  A stunningly beautiful recording.

Namlook/Le Mar. Latest release on Fax.  Nice stuff, nothing groundbreaking.  Never heard of this Gabriel Le Mar before.  However, the last piece, a 14-minuter, is the best pure beatless ambient track Namlook has done in many years. Brings me back to the Fax heyday of the mid-90's.

Syndromeda-The Twilight Conjunction. Ltd. edition of 300 on Ricochet Dream.  A bit disappointing, esp. since the website description said "one of his greatest efforts."

Subterranean Source-Vivid Circles.  Solid dark ambient release, mastered by R. Rich.

Klaus Schulze w/Lisa Gerrard-Rheingold Live at the Lorely.  Better than their studio release "Farscape." Disc 2 did little for me, could have done without it.

Solar Fields-Movements.  Nice release, although much of it is pretty forgettable, but he manages to create a few very strong tracks.

Still can't believe this news.  Two masters are now gone (Jorge and K. Wiese) Jorge was amazing, bringing this ancient music to people with modern technology and making it totally surreal and nothing short of magic!  A true original and visionary artist.

A 90-year-old woman told me I look like Errol Flynn.  I think she was senile, though.

I finally got around to ordering Drawn from the Well, and this is a superb release.  The first looong track is a gorgeous, pastoral, serene piece that brings to mind the drones of Alio Die and the Sylvian/Czukay albums.  Lovely stuff!

Been playing this non-stop since I got it. Fantastic stuff! On my best of 2009 list so far.  8)

This weekend:

Radio Massacre International-Lost in Space (6CD box) This box runs the gamut from "great" to "ho hum," so I've been trying to digest it all and make a "best of box" compilation.  I'm just about RMI'd out at this point.

Syndromeda-his entire discography, for the same reason above.  To me he's hit and miss, I really like a couple tracks from each album but he tends to meander in blandness for a lot of it.

I am super excited about receiving this one soon! Really glad AW is releasing CD's again, too. Looking forward to this year's releases.

Listening this morning to the masterpiece "El Hadra" in honor of Klaus.  Still in shock at this sad news.

I highly doubt SR will ever release anything as a download, from what I know of his opinion on the subject.  Personally I don't like download only albums either.  I was disappointed to not be able to buy a CD of the new Max Corbacho "Breathstream." This is a download only as well.

KW was a true master at his craft.  What a great loss.  My condolences to his family and friends.

Free System Projekt-"Narrow Lane". What a KICK ASS album!  The second massive 48 minute track has got to be the best retro TD-inspired recording of all time.  Don't believe me? Get it!!

Namlook/DJ Criss-"Sequential" Reissue of old school Fax album.  This is great stuff, reminds me of the other classics like "Air."

Aes Dana-"Season 5" Another reissue on Ultimae, with new artwork.  Very immersive techno/chill that sounded great in the car driving through the San Francisco rain yesterday.

Messianic Ghosts has a similar vibe to Fallen Gods (ritual, ghostly), but a bit more experimental perhaps.

Although everything is recommended by this great artist, I find the period '93-'94 to be his most inspired and artistically "on fire": thus, "Origins," "Artifacts," "The Dream Circle," "Ritual Ground" (Solitaire), and "Forgotten Gods" (Suspended Memories)  would top my list.

I gave Sound Symbols a workout on my good headphones, and this is definitely a great disc.  I especially liked the final piece, "Angelic Relic," a real beauty and one of the best Numina tracks to date!

I am very impressed by this album also.  I didn't find the large number of tracks on this CD a detriment at all, I quite like the many ideas and short impressions morphing from one to the next.  Great sound quality on this one, too. It's a good headphone album to pick out the layers and subtleties.

Really?  :o

Wow, well I respectfully disagree.  I think Sanctuary of Dreams is hard to beat, as a whole.  But I do like Sound Symbols.  It is definitely one of the more quiet and subtle works he has released.  I'm going to have to give it a good headphone listen soon.
