Plejades is by Jim Cole and Klaus Wiese, not Grassow.

That's true, now that you mentioned it. I sometimes have a hard time figuring individual authorship between those two.

Celer - In Escaping Lakes (This one just came today.  Very delicate and tonal.  I'm enjoying it so far.)

Steve Roach:
Mystic Chords and Sacred Spaces. Such an amazing work, words fail. After a recent listen in which I was utterly blown away, I finally ordered part 2 from Steve's website.

+1
Greatest ambient album of the 21st century so far.
Some background info about the term 'mystic chord': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystic_chord
Earlier I made a topic about the link between classical and ambient, Scriabin and Steve Roach in particular. The amazing final track of disc 3 (The spiral of time's fire burns on) is a good example of these type of otherworldly harmonies.

Robert Davies, 'Shadow Dreams'.
...it's on my constant rotation schedule along with his other works. Perfect floating, yet "intense" drones that never become boring....Superb!

Steve Roach : New Life Dreaming
Steve Roach : Mystic Chords and Sacred Spaces part 3 and 4

Just got these in the mail today. Waited a long time to order the second part of Mystic Chords. The first part finally struck me at just the right time; wow, what a masterwork. I had to see what the rest held in store...

To celebrate ordering the new Viridian Sun CD, I listened to the podcast again, followed by Solar Noise and the Hypnos compilation album (ordered Perihelion while I was at it).  :)
There is no spoon. Which sucks because I have a pudding cup.

Roach - New Life Dreaming.

Very interesting things going on here. High vibration ambience with experimental elements. Just got it, enjoying it much...

Ambrose Field/John Potter, "Being Dufay"

Very nice blend of ambient/isolationist sound + vocals from John Potter

I've been on a "podcasts on headphones" binge recently, including podcasts by several Hypnos Forum members -- Low Light Mixes, Quiet Sounds, Hypnagogue Podcast, the now-absent Undershadow's best of 2007 podcast, and some old ones from M. Bentley of The Foundry.

Roach-On this Planet.  Hadn't heard this in ages, wow a very heady brew, powerful stuff.  Think I'll piss off the neighbors this weekend with this cranked on the big stereo.

Great album - along with The Magnificent Void was my reintroduction to Electronic music after about 17 years of not listening to music. Liked the cover, had a listen and fell in love.

- Markus Guentner: Doppelgaenger

Can't say enough good things about this new release on Sending Orbs.
Up there with In Moll. If you like the work of Gas, give it a try.
