Solar Fields-Until we meet the sky.  Another excellent Ultimae release.
Cell-Live at Kumharas.  Awesome download only release by Ultimae artist.
Mike VanPortfleet-Beyond the Horizon Line.  Lycia solo project, dark and creepy.
Pete Namlook-Syn (disc 2).  Disc 1 of this 1994 Fax release is pretty awful hard trance, but disc 2 is floaty outer space stuff a la Psychonavigation.  Great late night listening!
Caul-Let the Stars Assume the Whole of Night.  The most un-Hypnos release on Hypnos, more post-rock soundtrack than ambient.  Full review soon...

last night - start of Third Ear Bands album Elements. The rest today hopefully.

On the way to work - Rainbow serpent - Pulse. I'd forgotten how much I hate vocoders in electronic music - luckily only on one track.

Bruno Sanfilippo - Urbs arrived today. Just finished my first headphone trip through it. Enjoyed it very much. This is a release that will unveil new secrets every time I listen to it. Well done.

12k day at work:

Tomasz Bednarczyk-Let's Make Better Mistakes Tomorrow.  Nice little album of soft drones and crackly sounds.

Lovesliescrushing-CRWTH (Chorus Redux).  This one's on Line but I guess technically it's 12k.  Processing of female vocals.  Really ethereal, kind of like Cocteau Twins minus the drums and wall of sound guitars.

Taylor Deupress-Shoals.  Field recordings and digital glitchiness, sort of a less subtle Alio Die.

Seaworthy/Rosner-Two Lakes.  This one starts off sounding like somebody taking a bath, so you know it's gonna be good.  ;D

Recently
- Ozric Tentacles :: mix of things from various albums. High energy 70's throwbacks. That's good stuff!
- Pjusk: Tele :: on first listen I'm not blown away. Not that I dislike it. And I do know it will grow on me.
- Loscil : coast range arc :: still a standout of 2011 for me.

Tangerine Dream-Alpha Centauri (new UK reissue on Esoteric).  Another great reissue remaster along with Zeit and Atem.

Shrine-Somnia (Cyclic Law). Bulgarian artist who does dreamy, watery ambient.  Cyclic Law releasing some more varied music these days besides the usual dark ambient style, which is a good thing.

The Floating World-The Apparition (Cyclic Law).  Amanda Votta, who was on Hypnos comp "Echoes of Polyhymnia".  This is pretty dark stuff, with drones, flutes, vocals.  Similar if a bit smoother than her collaboration with Gustaf Hildebrand.

odds and ends over the last few weeks;

bvdub - serenity / don't say you know / the first day (the title track is outstanding!)

amir baghiri - live long & prosper (definately his best!)
yannick franck - memorabilia (good dark droning a la Cyclic Law..)
mathias grassow - aestrata, fata morgana, sky

paul schutze & andrew hulme - fell
paul schutze - green evil (terrific compilation of Schutze's work)
federsen - echo relics (i'm eagerly waiting for future work by him, this guy got talent!)
lingua fungi - flowery dreams / tlapallan pantonal
loren chasse - the footpath

now;
bruno sanfilippo - urbs ;-)

anticipating (way too much);

new Cyclic Laws except for the Arcana one..
3 new Grassow's on Gterma

- St Kilda : St Kilda EP :: georgeous. Play this a lot.
- Pink Floyd : Dark Side of the Moon.  Ignore people who think this isn't totally brilliant.
- Blodwyn Pig : A Head Rings Out.  70s again. Has one of the greatest tracks ever on it.
- Brian McBride : The Effective Disconnect. Can't praise this enough.

Cliff Martinez : Solaris......Steel Drum, Gamelan & Moog Bass.   Galactic Nirvana
Coldplay: Parachute.......it touches me.  Dismissed them until I heard this recently.
Pjusk : Tele.....Wonderfully cold & dark with a touch of tundra summer to warm it up.  Like it.
Aphex Twin ; Selected Ambient Works 2.....Still has its special moments
A Produce & Loren Nerrel : Intangible......Love this for its varied sonic moods!
vidnObmana : Soundtrack for the Aquarium......a Hypnos classic, should be reprinted.
Paul vunk Jr. : Silence Speaks in Shadow......took me a bit to get into, but now, the music has truly reveal itself!
Alio Die & Aglaia : Private History of Clouds......Beautiful tone set & old school vinyal style packaging from Infraction Records
Tomas Weiss & Anthony Paul Kerby : Apperance....... This just stays in constant rotation.
King Crimson : Red....... What can I say,  Robert Fripp, Bill Bruford & John Wetton!
Steve Roach: Empetus.....Roach's Berlin inspired music.....track 9, The Memory, foretells of what will come.  Its one of my favorite pieces of music by Steve Roach
Harold Budd : The White Arcades......I keep coming back to it and sometimes I just wish for a little eno magic in the mix.

Grabbed these off my front passengers car seat.....no wonder nobody want's to ride with me.  No where to sit!

Kyle Bobby Dunn - Bring Me The Head of Kyle Bobby Dunn - Another KBD release that I love.  Beautiful!
S. Carey - Hoyas - percussionist for Bon Iver, this is his second release.  More electronic than the first, very nice.
Mohn - Mohn  -  Awesome electronics from Kompakt records and Wolfgang Voigt and Jörg Burger.
Bersarin Quartett - II  -  Ambient/neo-classical goodness.  One of the best of the year so far.
