Good tips!

Also, APK, that Aplink track was pretty swell.

Recently enjoying the Autumn of Communion 5. Truly excellent, especially the second track, Communion, which could be one of my favorites from the AoC outfit.

Also picked up the re-release of Everyday Feels Like a New Drug by Porya Hatami and Lee Anthony Norris, which is a really beautiful album. Listen: https://leeanthonynorrisporyahatami.bandcamp.com/album/every-day-feels-like-a-new-drug

pre ordered Motionfield - Luftrum so listening to the download. This is excellent. Melody orientated, chilled ambient with subtle and appropriate beats. A real cracking album.

Trying to catch up by listening to the new Duff Egan album:

https://duffegan.bandcamp.com/album/memories-dreams-reflections

Great drone music.

drone on

Subradial--Ice Diving.  Pretty disappointing Hypnos CD.  This seems like a collection of soundscapes rather than a cohesive album.  Despite the great cover photo, it's hard to visualize images from the music for some reason.  Maybe after a few more listens it'll register.  Could be a grower...

drone on

Rapoon--What do you Suppose? (The Alien Question) 2CD reissue.  The original album is in my top three Rapoon albums, so if you don't have it, definitely buy this.  A 2nd disc of new mixes of original tapes and unreleased material from those sessions is here, and is simply awesome.

Aun--Fiat Lux.  New on the Cyclic Law label, this is another great cosmic space ambient release on this dark ambient label.  A lot of CL releases I ignore because they're of the noisy oppressive variety, but this disc is highly atmospheric, mostly serene and quite different in a good way from their first CL release.  Lots of heavily treated guitars and synths.  Actually a very beautiful album.  This goes on my best of 2015 list so far.

Brian Eno--Neroli.  Sleep music at its best.

Caught in the Wake Forever - The Places Where I Worship You
Nice drone work drawing largely on acoustic source material.

Andrew Heath - The Silent Cartographer
Superb. Piano and light synths weaving their way among found sounds, field recordings, and other experimental flourishes. At times, the album reminds me of James Johnson's generative releases.

Yunomi - Amaryllis Dream
Beautiful 2014 ambient release from Ishq, leaning towards the experimental organics of Elve, but with a softer touch.

Martin Gore-MG on Mute.
This is very cinematic.Unlike anything Depeche Mode has done with the exception of a few tracks in the mid eighties. No vocals. If you enjoy Aphex Twin,BOC or "IDM" this is for you.Recording quality is high. The short clip below shows his studio and modular racks.

I really like it too. It's one of his most unique albums. Great stuff.

Martin Gore--MG.  Great disc.  If you like modular synths you will find a lot to enjoy here.  Nice to see him getting back into the electronics after the recent awful depeche mode offerings.

drone on

Shriekback--Without Real String or Fish.  Probably the best thing they've done since Sacred City back in 1992.  They don't have a label, everything now is self released and sold through their website.  One of the most innovative rock bands ever.

The Frozen Vaults - 1816
New release from Pleq, Spheruleus, Mrenca, and friends. Much better than their debut--and much less noisy. Dark, isolationist acoustic ambient.
