Mathias Grassow - Forgotten Memories - The DAT Retros (Disc 2)

I love Apsaras too.

Autumn of Communion - Reservoir of Video Souls
The next album from Lee and Nick, despite the fact that every album up to this point since the 5th AoC release has been the "last one." Glad they can't resist collaborating; this is great stuff.

ILUITEQ - Soundtracks for Winter Departures
Really well-crafted cinematic ambient music on ...txt.

Great choices  ;). That AOC is one of their best. Originally just bought the download as trying to reduce the physical products at the moment ( Storage overload ) Had to get the CD also though, just too good. Nice and unusual artwork/packaging.

The Winterhouse - Unlit Passages. This has been on constant play the past few weeks. Stunning album. Haunting, dark, disturbing but beautiful. And fittingly gorgeous album cover to suit the whole concept. One of the best releases of the entire year for me.

Also been playing the new album from Mr Roach - Mercurius. I like it a lot.

Convextion - 2845

Literally just discovered this album tonight and really love it. Obviously more "beat-based" electro-ambient type stuff but has a really interesting early 90's sort of vibe a la B12, Aphex, later Cabaret Voiltaire, and the like. If anybody has any more information on him, please do let me know.

I just discovered last week some amazing drone work by Mnemonic45. I've been listening to some of these tracks on repeat this week:

https://mnemonic45.bandcamp.com/album/close-to-heart
https://mnemonic45.bandcamp.com/album/paprat
https://mnemonic45.bandcamp.com/album/adis

Very minimal. And very hypnotic.

Yes, me too! It is perfect for sleeping.

Speaking of which: The new Jaja has been on my sleeping rotation for the last two nights. Nice, peaceful, and soothing.

Also, I'm really digging the new digital-only Steve Roach on Bandcamp. Although I appreciate some of the sequence-heavy releases that are getting Grammy nominations (kudos!), I have to confess that it is his long-form, drifting work that really moves me. This one is amazing.

That is excellent, Jana.  I really enjoy this style.

Finally discovering what you release on Cyan beyond your own ambient material !!

Maeror Tri - Mind Reversal

I'm glad that Infinite Fog Productions re-released this a while back. One of the definitive ambient industrial acts along with Zoviet France and The Hafler Trio.

Wagner's Liebestod, the aria at the end of his opera Tristan und Isolde, has been haunting me a long time.
Horowitz recorded this piano transcription by Franz Liszt a few days before his death.

Book Of Air - vvolk

This ambient ensemble deserves more recognition. The only reason I found about them is because I stumbled upon another album of theirs called Se (in) De Bos while looking through Sub Rosa's Bandcamp page. I like this one a little bit more but Se (in) De Bos is great too.

Gapfield - Bits in the Valley
New one from Devon Underwood and Jacob Newman. Synth-Dub 90's-style tracks. Lots of cool stuff here.
