Tetsu Inoue - Organic Cloud

Track 3 & 4 are two of the most godly pieces in all of ambient.

And what's this I hear about a certain Hypnos Forum member doing the newest Alio Die CD covers?  ;)

Yes! It's been quite exciting to me to have my art on two Alio Die releases, six-panel digipaks no less. He did an amazing job of the layout and design, the silver metallic ink is gorgeous. I've been having a fun time listening to them and seeing my art on them, strange in the context of all the other Alio Die albums I have, and all the hours I've used his music as inspiration to make art.

In the light of that, currently listening to Hidden Spring, Sit Tibi Terra Levis/Introspective, and the stunning Tempus Rei...

clouwbeck - a moraine
(more bowed beauty.. from Richard Skelton)

jim o'rourke - long night
(2 fascinating longform pieces, ever-changing feather-light overtone drones, i think yes, time-suspending would be the proper word here..)

bass communion - I
(probably his most accessible, the last 25 minute piece based on a Robbert Fripp sample is beautiful!)

aidan baker - green & cold
(for me top-rating post-rock ambient, with occasionally pretty vocals)

aidan baker - letters
(another fantastic release from Aidan, powerful and intense)

the sight below - glider
(this beats GAS for me easily.. oh ohh ;D)

off the sky - creek caught fire
(i love it)

Sunshine Blind ~ "rewind"
IKON ~ "Psychic vampire"
New Order ~ "Movement" reissue

Biomusique - "Empty Spaces"

Love this track; dark, swirling, mysterious, epic.

Steve Roach albums last night/early morn. That Amplexus compilation with Vidna, Brennan, and Roach. The first and third/fourth tracks are some of the best I've heard from Vidna and Roach. The middle track, which I think is Brennan, I could do without.

Inspired to throw on disc one of World's Edge. Fantastic as well, weird sounds and full of deep feeling. Old school Roach...

Hecker played some of this material in concert when I saw him in December.  I was hoping he'd have a new CD out.   8)

Shinkiro - The Way of the Gods

Shinto flavored dark ambient from Athanor, interesting so far.
