Jon Hassell - Last Night the Moon Came Dropping Its Clothes In The Street (sort of an ambient cross between Fascinoma and The Surgeon of the Night Sky)
Fennesz - Black Sea (unexpectedly nice and even melodic in places, despite the occasional grit)
Radiohead - Airbag/How Am I Driving EP (OK Computer outtakes that are as good as the album)

Yagya-Rigning.  A stunningly beautiful recording.

Namlook/Le Mar. Latest release on Fax.  Nice stuff, nothing groundbreaking.  Never heard of this Gabriel Le Mar before.  However, the last piece, a 14-minuter, is the best pure beatless ambient track Namlook has done in many years. Brings me back to the Fax heyday of the mid-90's.

Syndromeda-The Twilight Conjunction. Ltd. edition of 300 on Ricochet Dream.  A bit disappointing, esp. since the website description said "one of his greatest efforts."

Subterranean Source-Vivid Circles.  Solid dark ambient release, mastered by R. Rich.

Klaus Schulze w/Lisa Gerrard-Rheingold Live at the Lorely.  Better than their studio release "Farscape." Disc 2 did little for me, could have done without it.

Solar Fields-Movements.  Nice release, although much of it is pretty forgettable, but he manages to create a few very strong tracks.

Jorge Reyes- El Costumbre; I got curious, so I bought a download. What a great disc! I was mistakenly thinking that Reyes would be a Steve Roach clone, but that's definitely not the case.

I may have to look up some of his discs...

Jon Hassell - Last Night the Moon Came Dropping Its Clothes In The Street

I know we talked about this but how is the overall production sound? is it an ECM engineering job or did someone else put it together far from Oslo?

Interesting that many of Molvaer's friends are on this!

Magnog - "More Weather":  free-form improv post-rock goodness.  Not too wild or out-of-hand, kinda lazy and laid-back.  Very nice stuff.

Stock, Hausen & Walkman - "Organ Transplants" vols. 1 & 2:  crazy, strange cut-ups and song snippets.  Fascinating stuff - if you have ADD, you'd enjoy these disks.  Hell, they'd probably even make sense to you.

Transient Waves - "Wading and Waiting - Bliss Out vol. 8":  one of my favorite entries in Darla's "bliss out" series (along with Windy & Carl's "Antarctica").

The Eicher/Hassell co-production is little murky, but seems appropriate, given the overall ambient feel of the project.  Not too much reverb, but some of the instruments seem to have been recorded at a distance, or at least subjected to processing.  The trademark Hassell harmonizer trumpet sound pops up in places.  Some of it was recorded live in Belgium and London, and some was recorded in France, in 2 different studios.  It was ultimately mixed in LA.  I like it.:)
