Listening to Roland Kayn's "A little Electronic Milky Way of Sound #1" streaming here:  http://www.concertzender.nl/swfplayer.php?mode=rod&provider=cz&program=rod&date=20100523&hour=00&pid=43142

This is 7 hours of a 14 hour piece.   :o  It's challenging stuff, like Iancu Dumitrescu and Graham Bowers having a sound fight.  Sometimes really menacing, sometimes delicate; interesting stuff.  Makes the work day fly by.

Fabio Orsi - Random Shades of Day (a nice 3-CD release with some reissued material from his limited 3" releases, some unreleased stuff, and a disc of all new material.  Didn't break the bank, so I didn't mind already having some of the material)

Agreed on Shades 2 by Inoue/Namlook, one of my fave spacemusic albums...

The Cure-Disintegration Deluxe reissue.  Nice remaster of the original album, nice n' loud and dynamic sound, definitely an improvement.  The demos--there's some gems, like the RS demo of Fascination Street.  Just wish there were more gems in the bunch, so a bit disappointed overall with Disc 2.  The live disc "Entreat" gets remixed and remastered with four additional tracks, sonically an improvement over the original release.  A good enough live album but not the best live stuff from The Cure over the years.

Joint Efforts - The Album. EMPortal compilation release - quite a range of sounds and styles, enjoying it so far.

Geomatic - "64 Light Years Away" and "Blue Beam".  Some nice tribal/electro sounds, kinda like a mash-up of Arbre Noir and Oil 10.
Harvestman, "In a Dark Tongue".  Neurosis guitarist's solo project.  Excellent space-rock with an abrasive edge and some really beautiful moments.

Roedelius - Jardin au Fou

I'd forgotten how delightful this is. More please!

Fluxion - Perfused

Chain Reaction redux. A new one from a familiar name.

Jon Balke - Amina Alaoui

I thought this was too much pastiche at first but now embrace it wholeheartedly!

I love this album, and have not heard another by him to match it (for my taste).
Wonderful thing. I play it a lot.

Very strange and noisier than I expected.  I recommended his OOP box, "Tektra" on Barooni, which is mysterious longer-form (almost symphonic) electronic drone that reminds me a little of Thomas Koner.

Paul Weller - Wildwood

Weller's best IMO.  When it was released, a review said that it could've been
recorded in 1970, and I always thought that was an accurate take.

Otherwise :
Troum - objectlessness (Faria).  I've not followed each and every Troum
release - this sounds to me the closest to what made Maeror Tri great, lengthy
dark rumbling drones that open up beautifully...eventually.

Various - Warp20 : Chosen (Warp).  Still enjoy Seefeel's Warp outing...
finding that the Aphex tracks (among others) do not hold up.  Could prune my Aphex collection
down to a handful of tracks (mostly all from SAW II) and get rid of the rest!

Concert Silence -9.22.07.  Finally, finally got the vinyl in.

Andrew Chalk & Daisuke Suzuki - In Faxfleet Clouds... (Faraway Press)
Nice ep from these two.  Normally their collaborations are on the noisier side, this
one is too short, but sweet.

Heart - Dreamboat Annie (Mushroom).  I think I just heard Alan groan all the way
from Bristol :)   Filing albums, dug this one out.  It amazes me how good
they once were - and how terrible they became.  I suppose that could be applied
to a ton of artists though...

Woodland - untitled.  Forthcoming from Joe Minaedo.
