You're welcome! It's been wonderful to see this album accumulate popularity over the years. When we first released it, nobody bought it and nobody talked about it.

Fancied listening to the track Steppenwolf and it's the only recording I have - some great lines from Bob Calvert....

I get cravings for that song on occasion. Calvert is excellent, unequalled in his lyrics. I have a disc of him just reading his poetry that puts me into a weird mood, quite enjoyable.

It's interesting because there can be great gems in one line and the next a real clunker....
What is the disc of poetry?

Alva Noto - Xerrox Vol. 1

For fans of glitchy ambient, in the vein of Fennesz, Gas, Tim Hecker.

Brian McBride - The Effective Disconnect

Gorgeous.

Louis Sclavis - Napoli's Walls

An atypical release for him with an interesting assortment of musicians and treatments.

It's called centigrade 232, a booklet of poems and cd put out by voiceprint. Don't know if it's still in print, but only 500 were made...

I agree on the Calvert lyrics. I look at his poetry as being in a different realm, between psych-rock and literary, so I look at his lines in a weird way, comparing him more to the totality of rock lyrics and not as much to strictly written poets. He's kind of like Morrison in that way...but with the pulp sci-fi awareness that I love so dearly...

In the mood for fuzzy murk this weekend:

Daizok- Autumn Scenes; dark synth fuzz
Szymon Kaliski- Out Of Forgetting; warm drones with treated piano, very minimal and very nice!

Biosphere - Polar Sequences

A mid-nineties live classic. Glad I found this at Seattle's Wall of Sound a few years ago.

Klaus Wiese - Divine Orbit

Slowly getting into Wiese's works. Divine Orbit is probably my favorite so far. But "Perfume" is not bad either.
