BJ Nilsen works today.
The releases with Stilluppsteypa are fascinating and unpredictable sonic explorations.
Inspiring stuff for ears attuned to something a little different.

Peter James-Landfall, Memento. Both on relaxed machinery, both excellent.
Pete Namlook/Material Object-Electronik 2. Beautiful soaring krautrock, reminds of Ashra. Another great Fax release.
Beta Cloud-Lunar Monograph. Great album!!!
Document: Atmoworks compilation. Solar fields, Robert Rich, Vir Unis, Disturbed Earth, Max Corbacho, Numina...a meeting of ambient minds. Excellent.

David Galas-the Happiest Days of my Life, Ghosts of California. Solo albums from ex-Lycia member. Amazing dark ambient rock. Lycia meets Type O Negative meets Swans meets Alice in Chains. Highly recommended!!!

Bleak-Vane. David Galas and Mike Van Portfleet of Lycia. Album remastered and sounds much better than the original Projekt release...

Anenon - Inner Hue - half floating ambient, half beat oriented recording with some saxophone. Yikes! Can't remember the last time I heard sax on an electronic album, if ever. But it works fairly well.
Nora Jones - Little Broken Hearts - new Nora Jones album produced by Danger Mouse, fantastic!

It's SHOEGAZERS day! : Ride, Lush, My Bloody Valentine, Pale Saints. Plus Daniel Lanois, Cocteau Twins, April Wine, Blue Oyster Cult, and Boston! Too much ambient can be detrimental to your health--sometime's you gotta rock.

Boddy/Wollo-Frontiers (DiN) Excellent new album. Very commercial sounding EM but with hints of darkness that give it a mysterious vibe. DiN rarely disappoints, and this is no exception.

Gianfranco Grilli-Come to the Light of Day (Tantric Harmonies). Quite similar to his Amplexus/Arya release from the 90's, "Il Tempio di Karnak." Ltd. to 230 copies, published 2006. You can still find this floating around on Discogs. Recommended.

Free System Projekt-Gent, Narrow Lane. Two live albums from this Dutch collective of Berlin School enthusiasts.
