Mark Isham-Tibet (1989, Windham Hill Records).  This is a great Isham album featuring a very progressive rock (a la David Sylvian) feel, with guests like David Torn doing some electric guitar wailing and sounding like Robert Fripp.  The whole album has a David Parsons vibe to it as well, albeit more melodic and "rocky."  Not as good as my favorite Isham album which is "Film Music," but still very good.

Saw Squarepusher a few weeks ago.Great live show,not my type of music.
I looked up the Unfathomless label based on Jim02,Field recordings. Any recommendations from this label?
Some great purchases from members here.Durutti Column ( ordered )  and I just got Deepchord presents Echospace Silent World,excellent. Luimin reduced is always on rotation.
Somnium- Always playing that..Got all versions. The IPhone app is great as it can go on forever.

Yagya,newest one- yes the vocals are nothing new,reminds me totally of Luomo project by V.Delay. But underneath that is the amazing Yagya beats and the instrumentals are worth getting.
Enjoying the long samples on the Unfathomless label. True field recordings with a bit of rumble.

Now this sounds interesting! Having recently listened to Somnium  I want to explore more long-form works again.

Actually the 4 files for Day Music 1 are each around sixty minutes long.  There is also a Day 2 available that is more drone-based.  It's very static stuff, but also very calming.  Very nice work for Mr. Leimer, whose been at it since the early 80s.

This Mortal Coil-It'll End in Tears, Filigree & Shadow, Blood, Dust & Guitars (remasters plus singles compilation with unreleased tracks) Nostalgia for 4AD with these ones for sure.
Fabio Orsi-Winterreise.  Electric gtr drones.
David Parsons-Yatra.  Another classic.

Stephen Philips - Desert Landscapes, a beautiful album, in my opinion one of Stephens best.

I've been way out of the ambient and electronic for too long now.

Hearing that Squarepusher above gives me that feeling of excitement I used to get from Warp records. A couple weeks ago I brought out Selected Ambient Works 2, On Land, and Music for Airports, and they blew me away, evoking big emotion. That's funny, two of those I just read mentioned on the Overrated thread, but in that moment they really got me.

Thinking of picking up some new records to decorate my new apartment...been out of it for a while, but am now on the hunt for new listens.
