Currently listening:
Nautic Depths & Nunc Stans- Falling Silent- Kudos to Anthony and Tomas for putting together a very deep and ponderous album-- works wonderful with headphones. Anthony's contributions here are usually under the surface, so to speak, and a perfect compliment to Tomas' smooth, hypnotic drone work. Well done, guys!
Steve Roach & Jorge Reyes- Vine- Bark & Spore- Pure Magic! This may be my favorite tribal-ambient album, except for Well Of Souls
A-Sun-Amissa- Desperate In Her Heavy Sleep- gothic and dense cello/violin/synth work. Quite beautiful and tragic, if you're in the mood for an impending sense of doom ;-)
Talking Heads- Remain In Light
And I've been attempting to listen to various Craig Tattersall projects (Seaman & The Tattered Sail, The Humble Bee), but strangely, I've lost all connection with this music-- I invariably turn it off after 15 minutes or so. It just doesn't hold my interest anymore. Over-saturation, maybe? ...but this happens to be sometimes. Years ago, I lost all connection to Oophoi's music, and I rarely listen to it anymore, along with other dark ambient projects that I loved at one time. Not sure how this happens...
