Alpha Wave Movement-- Earthen.  Really nice release on Anodize.  Very mellow ambient in Roach Structures from Silence style.

I followed drone on's lead and downloaded a copy of Alpha Wave Movement's Earthen. Great stuff! The Structures from Silence comparison is an apt one.

Speaking of following leads: I finally downloaded, via iTunes, a copy of Namlook & Inoue's 62 Eulengasse, given that thirdsystem claimed it was one of his desert island favorites. I can see why. This would have certainly been a favorite of mine if I had heard it 20 years ago. It stands the test of time well.

Also grabbed 2350 Broadway 2 while on that binge. The Invisible Landscape is frigging amazing.

62 Eulengasse is probably my favorite Namlook/Inoue release.  You should check out 2350 Broadway 3 and 2350 Broadway 4, too.  Their 3 Shades of Orion collabs should also keep you busy.

Ha , glad my claim has borne fruit  ;)

2350Broadway, Shades of Orion, From Within. All wonderful, definitive FAX ambient collections. Silence V also, masterpiece. Tetsu Inoue - Inland..............could go on but better stop there  ;)

Currently wearing out my Tensegrity CD from ...txt. I am not really one for compilations, this however is one of the most beautiful collections of music I have ever heard. Gorgeous, relaxing ambient works that for me sum up the wonderful music of  ...txt.

Just had an email from Lee .....on sale for £8 along with others on http://www.txtrecordings.co.uk/

Been enjoying a couple off the Planet Mu label. These albums seem to be in the Detroit techno kind of world, which I've been enjoying a lot recently, without actually knowing a lot about its origins/foundations. The first is a mutated electro, techno, with a real living sense of texture and incorporated serendipitous chaos. The latter clearly inspired by Vangelis' work on Blade Runner soundtrack, but taking things into a very interesting, simultaneously throwback/new direction. Excellently skittering beats...

Hieroglyphic Being: The Seer of Cosmic Visions

Kuedo: Severant

I tend to discover music by exploring a label, curious to hear more from Planet Mu, based on excellence of these two releases. Cover art sweet as well.

Frozen Thoughts - Calm Before the Storm
I held off on buying this for a long time in hope that a physical version would eventually be released. I've given up now. (Damn you, Glacial Movements!  ;)  ) Absolutely brilliant piece of work; I would love to see more from this artist in the future.

Hammock - The Sleepover Series Vols 1 + 2
A more traditional ambient release from the contemporary kings of shoegaze instrumentals. Most of the tracks sound like stretched walls of sound. Lovely. The first volume has a more experimental feel, which is a bit surprising given the sleepy dronescapes on Vol. 2.

Max Corbacho - Splendid Labyrinths
In my opinion, this is similar in spirit to The Ocean Inside.  Deep and expansive sounds, with occasional hints of dissonance that tend to build dramatic tension. Like The Ocean Inside, I suspect I won't play this in large doses, but will probably find myself compelled to return to it at unexpected moments for years to come.

To be honest you cant really go wrong with the new one. Another solid album from the Ozrics, 2 CD for £9.99 and I bought it in a High Street store....... that doesn't happen often !!

The last two albums are equally strong Paper Monkies and The Yum Yum Tree. My entire CD collection is packed up and inaccessible now due to a looming house move :-\ so I cant check my other older discs. I think one of my faves is Waterfall Cities.

I started with the Eternal Wheel compilation when I saw their very cool name  ;D it is excellent but might be difficult to get hold of now. There is this one on amazon at a very good price though http://www.amazon.co.uk/Introducing-Ozric-Tentacles/dp/B00BQ3K172/ref=sr_1_4?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1432404524&sr=1-4&keywords=ozric+tentacles

Impressive hippy space rock with stunning guitar work and excellent synth play......The Ozric Tentacles  8)

The Ambient Gardener - Spring. Just received this disc, a collection of beautiful ambient music from the FAX label compiled by the great man himself. Wonderful. I will be surrounded by Pete Namlook's music tonight, quite literally, DTS mode will be activated.

Robert Rich - Trance and Drones

As I continue to work my way through Robert's and Steve Roach's discography decided to purchase this one. Reading Richard Gurtler's excellent review on discogs sealed the deal.

Robert was only twenty years old when he recorded this. Astounding music for one so young. Beautiful album.

Some recent releases I've been enjoying:

Kyle Bobby Dunn - Ways of Meaning (I've been enjoying the simplicity of this one--kind of like SAWII on guitar and keys with the high end turned way down)

David Cooper Orton - Ortonality (an ambient looper guitarist whose been around since the days of MP3.Com.  Nice compilation.)
http://davidcooperorton.bandcamp.com/album/ortonality

Sima - Novela Grafica
(simple, complex and charming experimental electronic pop from Argentina in the vein of Anja Garbarek and Haco (After Dinner).  The elaborate package and artwork work extremely well with the music.  The lead singer (ISOL) is an illustrator of children's books.)

Expo 70--Corridors to Infinity/Star Coloured Clouds 2CD.  Great release of cosmic guitar and analog synth in vein of early TD (especially Zeit) and early Ashra/Gottsching.  Turn on the lava lamp and space out, dude.

So glad you like it Chris. Beautiful, warm ambience from Tetsu for his last album, hope there will be more. Wherever Tetsu has gone I hope he is in a good place.

Just bought Brian Eno - Another Green World to check out his pre ambient work. Interesting album. Bit of a Canterbury prog feel at times with hints of his ambient future direction. By chance I have discovered that I recorded a BBC documentary about Eno ages ago which is on my Sky HD box, entitled Another Green World. Totally forgot about this so looking forward to checking it out.
