Loscil - Monument Builders
Too much trumpet. (Or trumpet-like sounds.) But some of the tracks are amazing, including the first, which is now one of my all-time favorites from him.

Ishq - Evergreen Ocean
Similar in spirit (and sound) to Blue Infinity. Wide-reaching sonic washes with occasional sequenced pulses. Quite lovely.

Ishq - Pureland
Many of the tracks on here seem like re-processed versions of the same opening chime-like samples. But, buried within this theme are several unique tracks that are remarkable, including Endless Worlds which is a fantastic drone piece and Distant Horizons which captures the "other world" quality that inspires much of the Ishq work.

Robert Rich - Vestiges
Dark, moody, and atmospheric. My favorite RR album in the last 10 years.

The only song I kept from a Harold Budd CD I bought before we could actually listen to music before we bought it.  Can't remember the name of the album.  The Photo of Santiago McKinn is the song.  Daniel Lanois plays the guitar in this one.  Beautiful song.

Taylor Deupree and Marcus Fischer - In a Place of Such Graceful Shapes

A single long play I divided into shorter segments.  Shorter works better in the shuffle.

This song is from the album named "By The Dawn's Early Light". https://www.discogs.com/Harold-Budd-By-The-Dawns-Early-Light/master/33860

This might appeal to the Ambient peoples.

Northern Valentine - The Distance Brings Us Closer (2008) - Already Gone

Lovely drone guitar paired with synth loops and ambient noises.   The original recording is much better than the YouTube.  Not crazy about most of the album, but this track was a keeper.

Paul Schütze – New Maps of Hell (1992) Full album

The first 20 minutes is wicked Avant Garde Jazz.  The rest is something that might please the Ambient peoples with a Tribal Ambient interest.  I think the entire album is a work of art.  It may take a few listens to sink in.  Bandcamp has a better sound quality preview.

I don't think Paul ever achieved much commercial music success, but suspect he does pretty well with high brow music for art installations these days.

SVLBRD - Svalbard
Sometimes I get really bored with ambient techno. And then something like this comes along and blows my mind. The beats on this are simple, catchy, and modest. And the washes and drones drift by with perfect poise. Fantastic. On the new Faint label, an off-shoot of Spain's awesome Archives.

King Crimson- Live at Fillmore East 1969.  Excellent recording (for an old recording) of the classic lineup featuring Greg Lake and the other guys from In the Court and Wake of Poseidon albums.  "Epitaph" is one of my all-time favorite songs.  Official bootleg on DGM.

Epitaph is spookily appropriate today.  I heard on the BBC lunchtime news that Greg Lake died from cancer.

Lovely release on Kompakt by one of the recent headliners in the Pop Ambient series. Ambient loops with nice acoustic touches.

Material Object and Phonaut - Indiana Drones - the very first Carpe Sonum release.

Dogon - The Sirius Expeditions - Strange but interesting

Robert Rich - What We Left Behind and Foothills. Both on Spotify and wonderful.
