I'm going to check out Elegi.  Dronarivm has some good stuff.

I listed to Eligi and liked it.  It's quietly haunting, but calm and not scary.  Like walking through a dark house lit by one candle and it's full of harmless ghosts.

Been listening to the new Forrest Fang as mentioned in the other thread.

Yesterday I played one of Steve Roach's newer albums, Spiral Revelation. Nothing I haven't heard from him before necessarily but very nice, lots of sequenced beats and such. Worth checking out if you like his more electronic-beat, borderline ambient techno side...

Digiseeds - Ultimae compilation

This compilation sounds like several artists made music with AES DANA samples.  Not a complaint.  It's the signature sound of the label.

Jorge Reyes - Musica Prehispanica

His collaborations with Steve Roach are more Ambient.

I think I mentioned this before, but for the most part I prefer the more recent Ultimae sound than the more uptempo, trance-influenced sound of the earlier albums.

Just wanted to say it is great to read discussions talking about musicians I know nothing about - don't stop talking....

Mathias Grassow does have a huge discography - two of my favourites are Dissolution (very dense music) and True North with Amiri Baghiri.
you may also like Upuaut (with Oophoi and Baghiri), Sphere, Space and Eclipse.

Kompakt's glory days (IMHO) are long behind them. I bought some of the early 12'' singles (which were minimal techno, not ambient) and loved them at the time. Dettinger's two full lengths (from '99 and 2000) were fantastic also. The label started taking a dive after the Total 3 compilation IMHO. The last full length I really liked was Jonas Bering's album from 2002. By 2003 or 2004 the label was basically done for me and I stopped following what they were doing. I'm sure they've had some good 12''s and albums since then but a lot of the pop-house stuff they started doing left me cold.

I live in the city where Kompakt store is located. And I agree, Dettinger made some great ambient music, I think I have the first CD album only that I was listening over and over back at the time. Kompakt was mainly a record store such as Hardwax in Germany. It had its artists who always were pop oriented (not my cup of tea though). I have to say that they were always very nice at Kompakt store.

Here is the beautifully Dettingers "Intershop"

Very cool. If I ever make it to Germany, Hardwax would be at the top of list of record stores to shop at.

I'll have to check those out. Oophoi is another one whose huge discography is something I've only scratched the surface of. I do have Upuaut and like that one quite a bit.

I bought that one from CD Baby on FLAC awhile back based on recommendations here and other places. Agree that it's very good.

That Halftribe showed up in my BC feed three or four times now. I've got it on the wishlist and need to check it out.

Yes Oophoi has a large discography - Athlit is highly recommended as well as the Dreams set and The Dreaming of Shells for a good start.

Halftribe is fantastic! I picked up the new one that was released on Archives a few days ago and can't stop listening to it. It is a perfect mix of dub elements, my favorite Pleq tracks, and lo-fi sonmi451 looping and reverb sensibilities.
