Robert Rich + Alio Die - Fissures

Probably considered a classic by now, but I only just heard it for the first time today. Great album. Distinctly different from the solo albums I have from either artist.

Great Album indeed 8)

Yeah, certainly one of my all-time fave albums!!!

Richard

Thanks for the reminder you two... I lent this album to friends some years ago and it never returned... but I know where they live.  ;D   I agree that this is an outstanding work.

Jonn Serrie - The Sentinel

Had this disc for 3 weeks and it has been on constantly. Absolutely stunning space ambient. Beautiful, drifting, always interesting. This will be my release of 2017 I just cannot see it being bettered. One of my alll time favourite ambient releases, it is actually a masterpiece.

3 Seconds Of Air - The Flight of Song

I've been having this on CD for at least a few years. Definitely a classic ambient guitar album. I like it more than most of the guitar albums Dirk Serries did after this. The Bandcamp version has a couple of extra tracks that I don't have on my copy:

Robert Rich and Markus Reuter - Lift a Feather to the Flood
This is reminiscent of Rich's last album, with a focus on piano and dark atmospheres. Reuter brings a novel angle to the work, with highly processed touch guitar. In fact, it is so highly processed, that I wouldn't have pegged it as such if I didn't know better. This is a real headphone treat.

Yoyu - Ordinary Moon
Subtle melodies draped over field recordings and soft ambient textures. Mysterious and awe-inspiring. One of the best ambient releases of 2017 thus far. I can't get enough of it.

Alexander Scriabin - Prometheus: The Poem of Fire

Electrifying piece, spectacular performance.
