Gas - Narkopop
New Voigt release under the Gas moniker. Picks up where the project left off, making it seem familiar but not redundant.

Ishq - Archetypes of Light Vols. 1 and 2
Highly experimental. Not terribly interesting though, although parts of it are cool.

I've been listening to the new Northumbria this morning. Deeply beautiful soundscapes made with just guitar and bass (and some field recordings).

Leandro Fresco & Rafael Anton Irisarri - La Equidistancia
Lovely ambient-electronic release from ASIP. Cinematic in parts, but mostly slow-moving ambient works with lots of nifty details.

The digipaks were printed by Discromatics

They were able to do just the packaging as I duplicate my own discs.
The photos were taken by my wife  ;).

I'm also listening to the new Max Corbacho release. It is wonderful. Isn't this the album that was supposed to be released by Hypnos?

Anthony: I checked out that Pachero release and loved it. Great find. I couldn't find anything of note about Pachero on Discogs; I haven't heard of him before.

Jeff Pearce - Vestiges. Not listened to this album for a long time - was good to hear it again.

Thanks for your inspiration Andy :

I just bought "Winter Calm" by Jeff Pearce. My first album that I listen from him, it is simply wonderful.
While listening I have read a blog on his website where he talks about his experience at Ambicon 2013.

Jeff's complete discography is an ultimate must-have!!! Just play "No Matter How Far" from "With Evening Above" and I bet you you will get goosebumps on your arms just like me. What a virtuosity!!! Actually, there is also a video on YouTube with this track (its shorter version) along with "Snowfall", taken during 2015 ZoneMusicReporter Award Show. These are some of the most powerful soundscapes I have ever heard in my life!!! And of course Jeff's comments are additional bonus.

Enjoy!!! :)

Architects of Existence - Architects of Existence
New release from Mick Chillage and Eric "the" Taylor on Carpe Sonum. Dark and slow moving ambient soundscapes. There is a clear AoC and Fax edge to this, but, for the most part, the four movements are dominated by drifting electronics rather than spacey blips and beats. Absolutely fantastic.

Part of The Trilogy set by Vidna Obmana.

Beautiful music, calm, serene, glasslike splendour

Akiko Yano with the fantastically titled 'Tong Poo'
I missed out on Yellow Magic Orchestra when I was younger, but checking them out now, they were brilliant - especially at the time.

Experiments in Silence - Suspended Form
Treated piano sounds with a nice use of space. The original 30-min piece is by Experiments in Silence; the second remixed piece is by Ishq.

Ishq - Ecalyculata
More experimental soundscapes from Ishq. I'm tiring of these. I'm always curious to see what he's up to, but I miss some of the more structured and serene work prior to 2015 or so. This has some neat sounds, but the tracks don't seem thoughtfully curated or assembled.

Black Dingo Records - Above The Clouds

Over 2 hours of top-notch dark-ambient dronescapes. I contributed a track to it myself called New Frontier, but the whole thing is outstanding. My favorite track is the closer, which was created by espaces sonores.
