On Saturday I was in a Hi-Fi shop having my headphone foam earcups replaced.

I had the enormous pleasure of listening to a number of my tracks, Eivior, Steve Roach, Klaus Schulze and Vir Unis on a system costing over 40,000....

Could really swim in the sound, heard my own stuff almost as I heard it in my head when making it.

The nice thing is that the shop staff were really interested - not just in what some of the music sounded like but also ides behind what I was doing and how the sound came out of the system.

These are guys used to listening to music everyday - not things like cardboard being ripped and sonically transformed - they stood there listening intently and on occasion moving around to feel where the subwoofer was focussing the really low frequencies. Was fun to see them impressed with a 2 inch movement of the cone....

Indeed this must have been a great experience and moment! Loved that you shared it here.

Rasa (Bill Laswell) - Serene Timeless Joy

The only album Bill Laswell released under the name Rasa but I still like it. An ethno-ambient longform piece with a few surprises here and there.

New album, Desolation, available now.

Playing a couple of pieces of music from William Basinski and Co.

This is very special....especially the last 2 tracks https://richardchartier.bandcamp.com/album/untitled-1-3

Relatively new piece....Selva Oscura, Mono No Aware is the standout track for me.  Don't see myself getting back into vinyl though.  https://williambasinski.bandcamp.com

P.S. Just picked up a CD from the UK off Discog

Specta Ciera & Arbee ‎ "Surface"
https://dataobscura.bandcamp.com/album/surface

This is one of the most beautiful musical stories I have ever heard. Inbetween feelings, inbetween musical epochs, inbetween dream and life.
A fantastic album full of detail and storytelling, I would call the style electro-ambient.

I love Apsaras too.

Autumn of Communion - Reservoir of Video Souls
The next album from Lee and Nick, despite the fact that every album up to this point since the 5th AoC release has been the "last one." Glad they can't resist collaborating; this is great stuff.

ILUITEQ - Soundtracks for Winter Departures
Really well-crafted cinematic ambient music on ...txt.

Great choices  ;). That AOC is one of their best. Originally just bought the download as trying to reduce the physical products at the moment ( Storage overload ) Had to get the CD also though, just too good. Nice and unusual artwork/packaging.

The Winterhouse - Unlit Passages. This has been on constant play the past few weeks. Stunning album. Haunting, dark, disturbing but beautiful. And fittingly gorgeous album cover to suit the whole concept. One of the best releases of the entire year for me.

Also been playing the new album from Mr Roach - Mercurius. I like it a lot.
