Spirogyra: Captains Log

A little 70's gem. I used to see them whenever I could, on the south coast.
Couldn't get this to show, but just click the link.

Yes APK, great stuff those folksters ! I would love to hear the Lyke Wake Dirge up on the windy moors (which isn't too far away from Flame Acres) when the world (hopefully !) returns to some sense of normality  :)

Inoue

I was just listening to Inland; a masterpiece of subtle ambient music. A true highlight of the entire genre.
Any news on Tetsu Inoue's mysterious disappearance?
I suppose not...  :(

Is it really a single looped loop ? It kind of works in a hypnotic way (I think) :)

Another beautiful Celer loop.

Celer - When The Earth Starts Spinning Backwards

Love the music, as well as the small background story about riding out Hurricane Katrina:

Inland is probably in my top 20, end of the world, take to the mountain hideout, virus escape list. Beautiful, beautiful music.

I have heard no new word about Tetsu recently, occasionally look online in hope. There is a big thread on phonauts blog. Various speculation but nothing concrete. Wherever he is I hope he is happy. Made a big difference to my life with his stunning music.

Recently purchased several of Mick Chillage and Lee Norris albums from BC that are/have been on special offer due to the lockdown. Great stuff as ever.

SYNGATE release from Perceptually Defence with Robert Rich, excellent dark and interesting ambience.

Currently checking out Dave Bessell's new release on DiN. Reality Engine. Dark Berlin School / ambient. This will be a purchase I think. Very good.

thirdsystem

Oh aye, remember and check out Lee's neotantra compilations on bandcamp. Utterly superb collections of high quality ambient at name your price. Disc releases to follow hopefully. These collections really are superb and highly recommended.

Listening to Jim Butler's latest release: Sound of Seclusion Vol 1 - 5
He has to be THE most prolific ambient artist I know of. He is here: https://jimbutler.bandcamp.com/music
Enjoy! He's a solid ambient composer.

Antdude

I must be the last person in the world who had never heard of DakhaBrakha, and now I'm obsessed with this music.

Their stuff is on Bandcamp and the usual places: https://dakhabrakha.bandcamp.com/

Alambari is their latest, but your can't go wrong with any of it. World/ethnic/whatever music at its best.

Andrew Lahiff - Emerging Signals
I'm not sure why this guy doesn't get more accolades. I adore his work. I've been coming back to this album again and again.
