Korg Nano Midi Controllers

new midi controllers from Korg;

anyone planning on taking the plunge with one of these?  The NanoControl (the one with the dials/sliders) looks like it could be a good replacement for my huge Behringer controller.

They sure are small and inexpensive.
I've not seen/touched one yet. Hopefully they are not too plastic.
I guess the NanoControl would be pretty handy for a mobile laptop setup.

I also use a Behringer controller (BCR2000), and it has a lot more knobs, but also a lot more preset memory. And its build solidity is good.
NanoControl seems to only have 4 presets/scenes, which could be a drawback. Though maybe you can quickly send other 'scenes' to it from the software.

but yeah..I might look more into it..prices.. etc...
Otherwise..I have been planning to buy one of the more robust behringer controllers..

indeed - hopefully the build quality makes them robust enough for hauling around in a back-pack/bag along with your laptop for mobile processing.

I'd buy one in a flash if they actually had a MIDI out as well as USB. (One will probably end up in my live setup someday anyway if I can find a few spare inches.)

The Novation ReMote 25SL is about the size of your Nord Modular
and has USB plus MIDI IN, THRU and 2 OUTs and can be used without a computer.
Lots of knobs & sliders with 2 long programmable readouts.



I haven't tried this even smaller version - but I like that it has wheels instead of a joystick, though just one MIDI IN and OUT.
