~Hoping that everyone has a very nice holiday, (& doesn't gain too much weight)!  ;D

When I die, I'm leaving my body to science fiction.

Merry Christmas to all...and to all a good night.

Merry Christmas, and may all your wishes come true. :)

I'm lucky- I never gain an ounce around the holidays. I always stay at 185 pounds no matter what I do.

That's a shame; you gotta try harder!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!
I wish I was a Glowworm; a Glowworm's never glum. 'Cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Maybe the 4 pieces of raspberry cheesecake I had yesterday will do the trick. ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone out there in ambient-land. Here are some seasonal pics for those of you in warmer climates to help you "get in the mood." That's our house but before we got the Christmas tree up, so you'll have to imagine that part! :) Right now, we have about 8 to 10 inches of snow on the ground with 4 new inches of powder from just yesterday. These pics were from the first snowfall of the season a few weeks ago.

Mamie sends her best wishes for a "Merry Christmas" as well!

Merry Christmas everyone and best wishes for 2008

Wow - those photos bring back memories of the two Minneapolis Winters I endured. Very pretty but too cold.  I miss all the trees though... a lot.

happy holidaze everyone.

Wow! Bill, those pictures do make me cold. It does look like Christmas, though. It's supposed to get down to 36 here tonight. I may have to look for my jacket. It's around here somewhere, I know. I think I used it once last year, or was that the year before?  Hmmm...   ;)  Merry Happy and Happy Merry to all.   Harry D

Straining to... restore... regular dietary... intake...

Must... get... back to... normal...

Overcome by... indigestion...

Cannot move... struggling to... breathe...

Seriously, I'm looking forward to a return to normal activities, normal consumption of food and drink, normal exercise.  Am I the only one left feeling "glad it's over" after the holidays?  Not that I don't have some fun along the way, and enjoy spending time with family, but I always feel glad I only have to do this once (twice, if you count Thanksgiving) a year.

We had my family here on Sunday.   Christmas Eve was just Heidi and I and we had fun going to a little flower shop in a tiny town near here that had a lot of old Department 56 Dickens Village pieces (yea!).  Yesterday we spent the day at Heidi's step-mom's making cappellettis (an italian pasta soup thing - family tradition - though no one in the family is italian... ha).  Today we have Heidi's family Christmas part 1 at 4:00 - I'm taking my bass, guitar, bass amp, mixer, mics, etc... over and setting it all up because we bought our two nephews these digitech multi-effect guitar pedals - cheap - but wow - they sound good.   Then on New Years Eve we have Heidi's family Christmas part 2 because that's the only day her brother and family can drive down...

Then we're done!

We had snow almost the entire holiday. Very light and powdery but lots of it. It snowed all day yesterday. I got some great shots and will hopefully post them later tonight (they're still in the camera). I'd say we have about a foot on the ground, maybe a little less. Late last night and then this morning at 6:30 am when I took Mamie for a walk, it was almost surreal how calm and beautiful is all was...snow decorating each branch, soft diffused light, and so quiet...hardly any cars at all and no people. And it wasn't that cold - mid 20s, which is not bad for Minnesota in the winter. Anyway, it made me wish I was a kid and had gotten a saucer or sled for Christmas. There is a killer hill near our house. I'll bet it was packed.

Kathryn and I had a quiet day by ourselves. Too much food and libations, though. The East Indian meal was unbelievably delicious...maybe Kathryn's best ever. We ate very late though...around 8:30 pm. Then after I did some shoveling, we started a fire and watched Love Actually, which I had given Kathryn for Christmas. One of favorite movies and, I might add, a perfect film for Christmas night (since it all takes place in the 4 weeks leading up to the day).

All in all, a very nice Christmas. I hope everyone here had a good one with the friends and loved ones.  :)
