Hello everyone! My studio setup has changed considerably from the images in first post. I still have most of those synths but I've moved and my studio is in now in the basement where I've been able to spread out a bit more. I'll post some new pics soon.

Here's a shot I took today of my current studio set-up. As you can see, it's based around two computers (one connected to the Internet and one not).

I use a KVM switch to use a single keyboard and monitor with the 2 machines. I like things to be minimal and uncluttered.

The blue elephant wallpaper is a remant of the previous owners of the house, but I kind of like it.

Those two guitars are my Yamaha 112 and my Tokai 'Love Rock' (Les Paul copy), both great 'workhorse' instruments.

The book is a yearly diary / log that I use to document what I've done on a day-to-day basis and has proved to be very useful.

I'm a headphone man, I pretty much do everything on phones, the KEF Q3.5s speakers I rarely use are out of shot.

The thing I take most inspiration from is the view outside;

how it was in 1992 ? or was it 94 ? theres no effects on this photo , its how everything looked back then....

As far as my studio goes... I haven't taken any photos yet, however it is all setup and I have been recording.

Jesse.....thats just too funny, never really been a fan of Bart, perhaps I missed something.....still, Ive been laughing all evening.

Anyway...Dude, your a short, hop, skip & a jump away from this. You do have the equipment, its just a few tweaks away. This setup reflects trying to adhere to the classic console style approach, substituting the Daw for the console . I have scaled the environment back so every thing is in arms reach, most of the action, so to speak, takes place between the Matrix 12, Rack & Virus TI, the Andromeda and Juno play some what of a supporting role. I don't use any soft synths...currently.

Its kind of emotional to lay out the evolution of a studio.....Lots of good memories, lots of good sounds I miss. Having setup the mastering side of things it complete ruined/spoiled me for everyday monitoring. I wish I could indulge in that kind of sound for the pleasure. I did find monitors that could deliver the accuracy for mixing and a sparkle of that sweet elixir sound audiophile speakers bring.....

Ah yes, the hose.......its actually foam insulation tubing wrapped around all the power cables, simply done for aesthetics!

What strikes me most is the space. Space between equipment - space to move - space to breathe - space to record. Wow.
