Release the Pink Umlauts!

You tease! ;)

I'm really liking theLahto, and the Apalusa is beginning to click for me. Looks like Martin's got a good thing going here. 8)

Umm.. don't you mean Lht, Joe? ;)
Glad you're starting to see things my way re: Apalusa 8)

Yeah, i couldn't be happier about my current Roster of Artists. :)
And it also seams that Mirko Uhlig is also interested. I have
to say that Uhlig definitely is one of the finest german drone
artists around today.

But did you Guys already checked out the Taiga Remains Sample
on my Site? Breathtaking in every single sense. :o

I never heard of Uhlig. Are there any samples of his music around, Martin?
The Taiga Remains stuff I've heard sounds rather noisier than the stuff I like, but I'd certainly be interested to check out the sample on your site. Might help to insert the relevant URL:

Really good stuff.

And yeah, forgot to post the link to the Taiga Remains Sample, but you did well, Alan. ;)

Little Update for Alan and the few others that are into the Sounds.

Received the Master for the Apalusa Release.
Perfect Guitar Drone. Warm and cozy. Brilliant.

And i received the preview for the Release of Jason Sloan.
And for fucks sake, this one blew my mind.
At first i thought he sent me the wrong track. Thought
this was a new Steve Roach Piece. But it wasn't.
This really was Jason Sloan. Breathtaking.

No release dates till this point, but will inform you.

BTW: The Light of Shipwreck release is finished.
Will update the site on sunday, so everyone who
wants to buy it, can buy it. But i'm not lying when
im saying that its almost sold out, right at the moment.
Many copies will go to aquarius in america, since they
love his tunes. and they know why. :)

Good to hear, Martin. Those two recent Apalusa releases were very promising :)
I'm currently listening to another very nice late-comer to the guitar-manipulation table who might also grace your Waterscape roster. Do you know of mwvm's stuff? Very nice post-Kranky stuff residing comfily in that SotL/Labradford/Windy&Carl/GBYE! (quiet bits!) school of effected guitar-sourced space-rock drone-drift:

Really nice Stuff indeed. Pretty warm and kind of reminds me of sigur ros.
will set him on my "to contact" list, but at the moment i'am flooded by artists that
i will release. finished the 100 Copies for the Taiga Remains Release, know i
just need the Artwork to be printed. Guess the mid of February should be
a good time to release it.

And i will not promise to much, when i say that the Jason Sloan V
will be incredible good.

[WS03] is now available from myself.
There should be a few Copies on
Aquarius, but the guys didnt respond
for weeks. So maybe you could also find
a few Copies here at Hypnos in a few Weeks together
with the True Colour of Blood and Taiga Remains V.

And yes, just like always i do have good news
on the guitar drone front. We maybe have to life without
the Mirko Uhlig one, since i'm just not getting into it but i
talked to Takahiro Yorifuji aka Hakobune and he was very
interested and told me that he wants to do a release on
waterscape. So thats pure excitement to me, since i really
adore his 2 cds on U-Cover.

Ha! You wont believe it, Martin, but you remember when I started suggesting other guitar-drone practitioners to approach for your Waterscape 3 series a few weeks ago? (umm... there was Lht... Apalusa... Pausal...) I had in mind then to propose Hakobune, but somehow it slipped my mind. By the time I recalled, I found one of your recent posts here saying: ...at the moment i am flooded by artists that i will release, so I kept stumm 8)

Anyway, great news about Hakobune. I like those two U-cover releases of his a lot.

I echo Alan's endorsement of Hakobune. Irresistable guitar fuzz! (swoon)

So.

Received the official "ok" for the release on waterscape,
which makes me really proud. And yeah, its going to be the first
song on his myspace player ("yukidaruma" which i totally adore) with a
few others. Oh how i love yukidaruma, it reminds me of everything
beautiful in this world. its a timeless piece.

2008 is going to be a terrific year for myself and Waterscape
and for you i guess. :)

Well, Ive already mentioned mwvms blend of guitar manipulations, drones and electronics earlier in this thread, but it so happens I have a pretext to blather on about him again :)
I noticed theres an Ambient Ping Radio podcast of a half-hour set he did for them, downloadable from here:

http://ambientpingradio.blogspot.com/2008/01/exclusive-almost-live-set-by-mwvm.html

Now playing, and very nice too (I can definitely hear a potential 3 for Waterscape Records from this bloke - hint, hint, Mister Waterscape Man ;))

I'm going to burn my guitar. There is no reason for the guitar to exist any longer. There is nowhere to go from here.

Aidan Baker?
Huh. I adore aidan and his music.
He is a true blessing for me, i asked him one time
and he was not sure. But we will work on a colab
thats for sure, and maybe i will get him to release
a full length of Arc on Waterscape. Cross your fingers.
We also talked about me going to be the opener on
his germany tour this spring. would love it.

i already noticed mwvm in my little contact book, alan. ;)

And Michael Sandler is right, we should burn our guitars,
because hakobune's drones are nearly perfect.
