Always good to see some new people interested in the forum this past month.
Greetings!
And Jeff, I especially like your "loathe politics", and your love of split pea soup. Can't go wrong there  :)

Hi Jeff,

Let me add a welcome, too.  I have that EP collab wth Sara Ayers that you mentioned; she sent it to me a few years back.  Nice to hear you working on some new material with her.

Hi, I'm a new old member. Jeff Kowal (Terra Ambient). I realized it's been so long since I was here that the forum updated without me. So I thought I better make a fresh account. I produce ambient/tribal/rhythmic music and other oddities. Glad to be back!

Hello all, i came across this forum via Ambientvisions.com and the link posted in the untimely death of A Produce. After reading the forum and thread about his death and seeing the amount of ambient music composers I like and admire and listen to reguarly (Numina, Jeff Pearce, Ma Ja Le, etc) here, i knew i had to join. I am an avid listener of Stephen Hills Hearts of Space and first heard those artists on his show and have admired them since. I am also a huge fan of several Spotted Peccary artists as well. I am studying broadcast communications at University of Toledo and hope to become a broadcast meteorologist one day and that signifies my username. Any other questions? Just let me know. Thanks

Hi Matt. Welcome to the Forum. I've been a fan of the Peccaries since Howard Givens launched SP. I'm curious to know who your faves on the label are, if you care to chime in on the subject.
May the odds be ever in your favor.

Hi everyone, new member here.  I'm Jason, 36, a librarian from San Francisco.  I've been a fan of ambient, drone, space musics since I was in college.  I gravitate more towards the organic/tribal end of the ambient music spectrum, but it all has its time and place...  I also enjoy making improvised, mostly-ambient music (sorry, no recordings yet) with percussion, hammered dulcimer, a modest little modular synth and whatever other instruments or cool-sounding objects I can get my hands on.  Looking forward to checking out the forum discussions!

Hi Jason

Welcome, and thanks for introducing yourself so we know a little bit about you.

I think you'll find this forum a friendly place. Sometimes it's quiet, other times things become a bit more energized. Feel free to start new topics, ask questions, and so on.

Mike

New member blurb... I'm Greg M, aka eyes cast down. I'm based in Chicago now, after a lifetime in Canada (most of that in Toronto). My website is www.eyescastdown.com, which has a bunch of streaming clips and directs to my WP blog (mostly music writing & reviews) and my Kalindi Music site (Publisher & Other projects). I'm also active in the Relaxed Machinery Ning community and will be releasing on that label (shout-out JKN!). Glad to be aboard here, along with many respected peers. It was JKN's flag on the CD v. CDR discussion that brought me in. (Works every time...)
Hypnos is one of the coolest labels around. I have spoken...
Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.

Hi, everyone - I'm Baxter, from Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm married, and live with my wife and two cats in an old bungalow on the south side of the city. My main interests are music, films, writing, reading and social media.

I've been interested in ambient music and electronica for many years. I've only recently discovered the fantastic community that's involved in making and appreciating such music. Last week I launched a new music review site called EarTickles. Response so far has been great, with lots of very positive feedback.

I've also just joined the Netlabelism team as a reviewer, and my first contribution should be posted there shortly.

I hope to discover much more great music via the Forum.
