Welcome, Jon.

Nice to get to know you better Ekstasis. I hope you achieve your dream of creating ambient music in your own boat some day.

Hello, Ryan Summers here...

I found this forum through a search for lo-fi ambient music.  I found some good recommendations on here, so figured I'd join in.

I've bounced around a lot, musically speaking, over the years.  I used to DJ trance-like music in the early 00's.  I've played keyboards and produced for a couple of bands, one of which I'm still active with.  Right now I'm finding myself more interested in producing ambient music for myself.  I've struggled with insomnia and found myself listening to a lot of ambient music that way.  After awhile I started getting ideas for pieces and had to start making some of my own...

Anyways, looking forward to making some connections on here and finding new music.

Welcome Ryan.

As you may have noticed, there isn't much traffic or banter here.  This forum currently embraces the virtues of Minimalism and inadvertent Zen Buddhism.  Don't let that prevent you from saying things.

Since it appears you signed up partially on account of my Lo-Fi Ambient thread, I can only hope the owners of the site are prepared to compensate me with an industry standard referral fee.

welcome Ryan,
The forum does indeed pass through cycles of quiet and busyness - a bit like galaxies, some hot active stuff here, some empty space there....

But it is always a good place to be
