By the way I'd start to question my identity if enough people I didn't know started approaching me. Maybe a recent concussion? Amnesia? Did you ever get that just for a second during those strange bar conversations...?
Funny you mention that - last Saturday it happened to me again, twice!
At the bottom of my local ski hill, a guy commented on how fast I was going, and asked if I was still planning to get lunch at 1pm, as we discussed. I said "yes", and he smiled and skied away. Funny thing is, I had just arrived, and hadn't even taken a run yet. I can see how he could have mistaken me for someone else in similar attire, but a conversation about lunch?
Then, at the local Safeway, a guy walked past me in the parking lot, gave me a huge smile, and said "Hi Scott, good to see you again!" as he waved and kept walking. I have no idea who he was (or who "Scott" was, for that matter...)
Maybe I've got a split personality - I wonder what my other self is up to? I guess I'll really worry if the police show up at my door...
This is getting creepy...
I'm stuck in St. Paul on business. Yesterday I went to a bar for a burger and a beer. The place was deserted; as soon as I walked in, the bartender said, "Hey! How did it go?"
I gave her a quizzical look, and she said, "The fundraiser last week! How much did you get?"
I told her I was 1200 miles away last week, and that I didn't know what she was talking about.
She was adamant that I had been in her bar last week, and was selling tickets for some school fundraiser for my kids (btw, I don't have kids). I had to convince her it wasn't me; she was certain
Maybe some evil scientist is releasing multiple clones of me on an unsuspecting world?
