Dahon folding bicycle
« on: June 10, 2009, 11:57:17 AM »
Just picked up a new Dahon folding bike for camping and around town.

These things are great!
Lightweight, ride really well, and fold/unfold in seconds.
Fit in trunk of car.

Really pleased with it. Its one of their more inexpensive models.
More expensive ones are amazing.

I see a ton of those around here.  That's a great idea... go for a bike ride just about anywhere, any time.

Yep, and because they fold so small you could ride up to a coffee shop, fold it up and carry it in with you.
Or cycle to a train, fold it for the train ride, unfold it again when you get where you are going.
Dead handy.

I've been thinking of folding bikes for years now. Previously, I was checking out Bike Friday, a company in Portland that makes folding bikes. Seems like those are very high quality. Glad you brought this up, I am curious to know others' stories of folding bike happiness.
