a few photos...
« on: September 30, 2009, 06:46:44 AM »
I haven't really posted photos in a long time - I finally set up my flickr account.   Here are photos that my wife and I took at a large cemetery near us:

And a couple of silly pictures of me:

Grin... yeah - I switched my Facebook, flickr and AtmoWorks avatar's over to that already.

I've been my 7 or 8 year old Star Wars/Battlestar Galactica happy self here at Hypnos for quite a while now.

Beautiful shots.  I used to do some gravestone rubbings and cemetery photos around here back in the 70s.

A couple of them would make neat album covers.  I was thinking of the close-up of the stone roses.

Just to be totally irritating... I've added several photos since my last post.   (tending to do a few every couple days).

Some you may have seen me post elsewhere - others new.

"Tippi Ponders Life" should win an award, or at least an album cover.

Wayne - oh yeah - I absolutely love that "Tippi ponders life" shot...  there are several really good shots of her laying there.   Unfortunately - she was getting sick at the time and we were giving her insulin for her diabetes.   She was an amazing dog - they told us she was maybe 3 or 4 at the pound (that's what the owners had said that turned her in) - and ended up being more like 8 years old when we got her.   The quietest schnauzer I've ever met - always looked like she was thinking.

And so fun to grab her beard and give her a little tug!   And she did the greatest "downward dog" pose ever... I'll post that shot when I find it in the collection again.

More photos posted (including a "snow dogs" shot of Tippi and London) - and my up close and personal with a chicken shot.

Beautiful shot!  My impression was that the cat is annoyed that the dog is hogging the sunlight.

Awwwww, your cat is cute and your dog is adorable, Wayne!!!!
What are their names?
Is the dog quiet, calm & mellow or hyper, yappy and annoying? (Just extremely curious about pugs!)

OMG, look at all that snow! We have to go up to the mountain if we want to see that, (and I don't even think the mountain has any yet!)

To begin, Judd:  I have been fighting a cold all week, actually took a sick day Friday.  We were complaining last night how hot is was here, upper 80's and humid as a rain forest.  I would not last very long were you are.  Good luck!

On to the little darlings.  Sammy is the cat.  We found her in a "to be adopted" cage at a Pets Mart" around 8 years ago.  She was 2-3 years old when we got her, already de-clawed on the front paws.  She's a real sweetheart (to me), but if you touch her back, watch out.  Very punctual, every morning at 4:30, she wakes me up and wants to go outside.  Of all of the animals we have had over the 16 years Carol and I have been together, she is the only one that the vets office will not let me "drop off."  If she's to be examined, I have to be there.  She's got the "skull and crossbones" sticker on her file.

Won Li, on the other hand, is loved by everyone.  We got him for our son and ended up rescuing him from our son (Dave had some "issues" which have gotten all better, thank God).  I wouldn't say he's a yippy dog at all.  Cute, cuddly, smelly, high maintenance (daily eye meds so he doesn't go blind), snores LOUD, mostly mellow.  A dog of habit.  Wakes up with Carol, sits in her lap in the morning, then transfers to the sofa, sleeps there for a few hours, then goes into my mother in laws room to watch the soap operas at 12:30, takes another nap in her room, then returns to the sofa at 3:30, sleeps a few more hours, diner around 6:30, watches tv sitting with Carol (usually snoring), then it's off to bed.  Pugs are described as the ultimate couch potato dog, Won Li is no exception.  He loves to chase the cats and goes hysterical at passing cars.
