Cannibal Box
« on: October 25, 2009, 01:46:14 PM »
A bit different than most of what I've listened to through this forum, and not "typical" ambient - Cannibal Box is a cappella and can be heard at http://www.myspace.com/jeffsampsonmusic

Thanks for listening.

cool stuff! How do you layer things up? Do you use pedals and basically do it live or do you layer it up in a program?

thanks for posting this!

Brett:

Normally, any effects/looping are applied in real time, but for this piece I wanted to use effects I couldn't generate with pedals. The voice was done in one shot and then I used a few of the effects in Audition. Thanks for listening - glad you liked it.

One think I did like about it especially is the purity of it. I get so used to synth plugins and processing it's nice to hear something that, even though it does have some processing to it, is still a human voice.

Well...thank you, again. I'm honored by your comments. If you didn't already play it, you might like Invite Ascent, the track following Cannibal Box on the Myspace page. It's also a cappella, but no effects.
