...Been searching down any Hassell I can find now, but Power Spot is eluding me. Didn't know it was on ECM, makes me want to buy it all the more. Keep seeing really pricey ($20 or more) on Amazon, but have to check which edition (if not all) is on ECM. Can anyone clarify?...

I didn't know there were editions of this album, but here's a link to it via the ECM site: http://tinyurl.com/ywbc5m

...and check out who's playing bass...I always thought that was cool ("oh it's just another bass on earth")

Just a heads up that many ECM titles are available on iTunes for very good prices. For example, one of my favorites, Dave Holland's Conference Of the Birds, is only $5.99.

I really love Power Spot and forgot to include it on my list even though I do own the CD... I too forgot it was on ECM.

This thread got me searching, pulling and playing several discs. Last night I made a sampler mix, using only ECM artists.
It's certainly not all inclusive, but here it is.

Play-list:

01. Vassilis Tsabropoulos   Diamond Cut Diamond
02. Tord Gustavsen  Still There
03. Eberhard Weber  Endless Days
04. Steve Kuhn  Oceans in the Sky
05. Steve Tibbetts  Burnt Offering
06. David Torn  Rest and Unrest
07. Jon Hassell  Passage D.E.
08. Jan Garbarek  Arietta
09. Tomasz Stanko  Suspended Variation 1
10. Paul Motian  Odd Man Out
11. Dave Holland  High Wire
12. Pat Metheny  Eighteen

Here is my list of ECM favorites:

David Darling: Cello - marvelous tone poems for cello
Norma Winstone: Somewhere Called Home - one of the most underrated jazz singers
Stefan Micus: Ocean/Twilight Fields/To The Evening Child/Wings Over Water - 4 masterpieces from this immense artist/traveler
Agnes Buen Garnas: Rosensfole - a collection of ancient songs from Scandinavia, Jan Garbarek adds his usual touch
Pat Metheny Group: Travels - concert recordings, 5 stars
Pat Metheny: New Chautauqua - an outstanding guitar album
Keith Jarrett: The Sun Bear Concerts - 10Lp's full of incredible piano performances, from atonal to melodic to experimental
Chick Corea: Piano Improvisations vol.1/vol.2 - The best Corea
Arvo Part: Alina - delicate structures for piano
Eleni Karaindrou: the entire discography - fragile, evocative soundscapes for traditional orchestra and choir

Here's my favorite, by far:

Jack DeJohnette, <Oneness>,  very atmospheric, sparse jazz with great percussion
