the longer I get away from season 6 and the finale - the more I

a)  like how they ended it
b)  don't like how they dropped most of the "island" elements

I didn't want everything explained - far from it - the 'mystery' of Lost is what made Lost, Lost.

And I loved the resolution - the Limbo aspect.  Almost everyone I know that also loves Lost in my family - I had to explain the finale and the church and the limbo aspects.   I 'got it' because - I guess - because I've read so many darn fantasy and sci-fi and philosophy stuff over the years that it clicked with me.  But as far as the average person watching (not that I'm above average - I'm just well ready on trivial goofy books!) - the ending did not make a lot of sense... and the wreckage shots really screwed things up as so many people thought that was the Ajira plane.

Jack's death with Vincent...  perfection.

Yes - I've heard from multiple sources that 10-20 minutes of island mythology stuff will be on the dvd.    It's mentioned here:   http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Lost-Season-6-and-The-Complete-Collection/13833   but not the length of the bonus feature.

I feel a little funny saying I really enjoyed the Lost finale, and yet feel terribly unsatisfied by it after the fact.  Emotionally it engaged me, and it felt like a reasonable resolution for the characters, but in retrospect I feel the writers raced out of town in the night like a bunch of gypsies who'd been paid to build a barn but never finished the thing!

I can't argue with that.   It does feel that way.

Plus, I haven't found a reason to use a good gypsy metaphor in a while!

Still not reading these posts.  I just got through season 5.  I got the Dharma Initiative Box.  Cool.  I'll have to wait until Aug 26 for Season 6.

I was thinking today...If "Lost" was in the workplace.

Jack would be a project manager.

Kate would work in shipping, and be screwing everyone, hoping one day to screw the boss, get pregnant, split up him and his wife, marry him, and be "happy".

Sawyer would be the smart ass salesman.

Juliet would be the manager that is friendly to everyone, unless you cross her.  Then she stabs you in the back (and writes that one mistake on your evalutaion.)

John Locke would be the guy that hangs around the breakroom, always telling everyone what ever trivial thing he recently learned.  Boring the hell out of everyone.

Sun would be the secretary everyone likes, so would Clair.

Charlie is the guy who quit that everyone remembers.  He's off at rehab.

Hugo works in shipping with Kate, and he wonders why he's the only one who hasn't banged her.

Sayed is the night security.  Michael is the computer wiz.  Jin is Sun's husband. (Everyone knows him, because he is always there with her.)  These three never talk to anyone.

and... Ben is the guy who pops in everyweek to fix the copier.
So, I'm a "Sr Member", huh?  In June it's SENIOR DISCOUNT TIME!!!

The copier is the dimensional portal back to the Island. Ben changes the batteries out and punches in the code, otherwise the office, and the universe around it, implodes.
There is no spoon. Which sucks because I have a pudding cup.

Nobody likes or trusts Ben, albiet they will not take on the task of fixing the copier themselves.  They just keep calling him, and he ....
Jack and John think thier jobs are so important that the universe will implode if those widgets don't get out on schedule.

(Thanks, Antdude!)
