WOW!

Very powerful sounds here. Incredible and deep. Really enjoying the work on this. Was this created with acoustic sources that are heavily processed?

How's the new album coming, Phobos? Will it be a physical release as on "Darkness Within"? I love DW, everyone on the Forum should definitely check this out!

Thanks Chad, the sounds were created with hardware and software instruments, layered together, sampled and then processed, then more thinner layers added. Nothing acoustic a the moment.

Well,

Again, fantastic work. The sounds have a tremendous amount of depth to them. Almost sounds like layers of deep acoustic harmonically rich strings. The reverb processing is incredible! Very rich and deep without sounding resonant and thin.

Will this track be on the album? Is this the general direction you will be taking for its release?

Thanks Chad,
The track is exclusive to the Drone Download Project and will not appear anywhere else, it is the philosophy of the DDP that all tracks donated are unreleased and will not appear on any other release. Personally its a philosophy I like, as when I contribute a piece to any compilation it will always be exclusive to that particular project.

If you don't mind me asking, what reverb processing did you use on this?

Hi Chad
It was Lexicon Pantheon Vst, I really like this reverb and use it almost all the time.
I also use Glaceverb (but not on this track) which I also like a great deal, and whats even better is Glaceverb is FREE!!!

Sounds terrific.

I have found it challenging to get a really deep, rich, dark smooth reverb sound from most plugins. They usually sound thin, narrow and resonant. I've turned mostly to Lexicon and Eventide to get this type of sound. I find i have to have a reverb with some type of modulation to thicken up the sound of the reverb creating a thicker cloud.

Great work!

I need to work on something for DDP as I don't think I contributed to the prior year at all (my bad! Had lots of time being out of work but wasn't motivated, now back to work and less time to do anything!). As far as Glaceverb is concerned, I'll have to check it out as well as download any tracks I am behind on getting from DDP. Great place to contribute to and enjoy others music.

Thanks again Chad,
They reckon the new Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Bundle is hardware quality without the hardware, but its really expensive at around 1000, will have to check out the demo version to see what its like :)
